Pretty sure no one loses a year because of COVID.

Thats a good point for this year. But he's done it in the past too.

Nobody loses eligibility this year guys. Not sure how many times it has to be said. There is no redshirting or sitting out. Everyone can come back. Pretty much every team in the nation has 15 scholarship players signed on for next year. Y’all are soo obsessed with the coach it’s unbelievable. Everyone is in the same boat. Why is this hard to understand? Talking about redshirting players this year is just ignorant.

Not only that but many players are asked if they want to redshirt and they choose not to. Its not like it’s unexpected

what has eligibility got to do with experience? If they are going to suit up why not let them play? If they aren't good enough to play why recruit them?

Right. Because everyone else plays 13 players regularly right??? You obviously have no idea how a college basketball program works. Our best player is out for the year and our best big only gets 20 mins a game cause of foul trouble. You do realize the games are 40 mins long right? Just realize you are on a message board blaming a coach that doesn’t get regular time for the 13th and 14th players on the roster in a Covid shortened season where nobody even loses eligibility. Which teams are u watching that play the entire roster regular minutes?

Being from Jersey, I was watching YouTube highlights of powerhouse Camden high. They were playing Lenape and my attention kept focusing on their point guard. Really like his game. Recommend watching the video highlights of that game.

As a Jr in HS, he's not done growing. David Robinson stood only 5'9" in his junior year of high school (age 16–17) and grew to 7'1" NBA stud. It was great watching him play in college. That is one of the best parts of watching college BB, it's seeing these young men develop.

Yeah, that makes sense. Instead of a solid 7-8 man rotation, lets roll out 14 players and cut our best players minutes in half! Win!

This free year sucks for injured players like Wade. In a normal year he probably gets a medical redshirt so he doesn’t lose eligibility and keeps up with his peers. But with everyone else getting a free year, he has to sit out and gets no experience. He will still get his 4, but most everyone else will get the equivalent of 5 if they want.

OK every player is coming back next year? where is the 2 freshmen this year and the talented 3 freshmen guards, going to play next year? guess: the 2 freshmen this year will transfer and Alfios and Stroters will also leave.

A second prediction: Curry and Trice transfer to a better league and team!

Exactly. Welcome to planet Earth. On this planet, division 1 men’s basketball programs generally play 8 to 10 players on a regular basis. The other 3 to 5 scholarship players either tough it out and get better or they transfer. Over 1000 kids transferred after last year. That’s about 3 a team. Am I missing something...

Correct. ODU will not be retaining everyone from the current roster onto next season. I agree that Pilavios and Strothers are the highest probability in not staying, but I assume there will be at least 1 other transfer. Also, with all MBB student-athletes getting this year of eligibility back, along with the most-likely chance that NCAA approves the one-time transfer waiver rule, you will see a national increase is players moving teams. With that, I know that there will be at least 1-2 additions to the roster from the transfer portal.

Thanks for this info. Would you happen to know which positions on the court these transfers would play or are you thinking in just general terms we will add one or two transfers? Thanks a lot.
