It will be interesting to see coming out of Covid lock downs. Are people excited to get out in a crowd or will they be cautious. If 25% are cautious, that could be a huge hit.

There is no way we are going back to a full house in the stands this year. Until we reach Vaccination/Herd Immunity there is no way we pack Foreman Field to the gills. I so hope I am wrong, but I do not see it. Especially because so many will not wear a mask. I would hate to be the game-day worker/usher that tells some drunk to put their mask on, that is a disaster waiting to happen.

Some leading experts believe that we will reach herd immunity well before the start of Football season, and many schools are proceeding with the expectation that they will be at full capacity in the upcoming season. Alabama announced yesterday that they expect full attendance next season.

Barring more of the endless political posturing around COVID, I think that it is very doubtful that full capacity is not attainable in the fall. That said, the endless political posturing has managed to turn 15 days into a year, so who the hell knows.

I would be surprised if the majority of people are comfortable with large crowds by football season. I sure hope everything is open but that may be too soon.

I think some might not be, but I bet the majority will be fine. Regardless, I hope the powers that be allow individuals to make that choice.

^^This! Those afraid to do things and be in public can either stay home or be the ones wearing masks. We should be able to make our own choices.
The most realistic option is to either approach herd immunity or have the vaccine available to all. I'm hoping that once the vaccine is readily available to all, then those that want it can and those that don't then don't. I applaud Texas who just opened up and dropped restrictions.
Will there be some too timid to go out? Sure. But if the restrictions were taken away then I doubt it would take long at all for the majority to get back to normal.
The only true thing that would hurt sales would be bad performance and a lackluster opponent. Hopefully the performance part won't be an issue with coach Rahne.

So let me ask a question. If it was a choice between 50% capacity with no masks and a full house with masks, what would you do? I would happily wear a mask to be able to go to games with a sold out stadium or sold out Ted.

It should be 100% capacity and personal choice about the mask.
However, to answer your question- I would pick 50% capacity without masks over 100% capacity and everyone having to wear one. Sure it sucks that seats would be limited, but at least we aren't standing around like muzzled dogs.

The vaccines should be available by then, so long as enough people take them and the variants don't outrace us then te threat should be pretty low by fall. Fingers crossed.

Id go with 100% capacity with masks. Though we may not reach 100% capacity that often anyway.

According to POTUS, we'll have enough vaccines by the end of May. It shouldn't be an issue going forward, although I'm sure some will push for continuing the mask mandate even after that.

I think you could put one and one together, and require folks that will be attending games to have received the vaccine. Mask mandate and capacity restrictions potentially too depending on where we're at by that point.

You could require vaccinations but there's no reasonable way to enforce it.

They wouldn’t require a vaccine. Hospitals aren’t even requiring all their staff to get it.

They’ll follow the VDH guidelines, just as they have every step of the way.

Do you know what percentage of the population has gotten COVID or received the vaccine? Judging by your post you have not done simple math. Also, I’m sure both are underreported. At this point roughly
30% have received the vaccine or been infected. At this rate most people will have gotten the vaccine or sickened in the next four to five months.
