If we can split next week sets up great penultimate/final weekend. We all used to know who to hate on in the GLVC... who we played last. Maybe we can get one going in the ASUN.
I think somebody already said this.... but Ethan Claycomb is in BU Most Improved HOF..... I think he took 5 charges tonight.
Question, can CJ and Ethan come back next year if they want?
Other observation, Sam needs to let the game come to him like our "LUUUUUUKE"
Wish more were there..... Freedom Hall is not the answer. Plenty of space on Norris Place.
Agree that Sam needs to relax and not put too much pressure on himself. He is an excellent shooter and should take the shot when a good opportunity presents itself. BU has been fortunate in the sense we have had the schedule favoring us since we've mostly played the bottom half of the league.

Scotty announced on his weekly TV show 2 weeks ago that CJ and Ethan were coming back next year.

RE: 2020-2021 Season
Hmmm...FGCU must have tested positive this week. Schedule changes have resulted. We play away at North Alabama this week and then at North Florida next week. But then we play Liberty at home the last week of the regular season. Probably good to play Liberty at Freedom Hall. We need to get more fans out for that game!! Do we have a senior night then? If we know our seniors are coming back do we?

I think the schedule remains the same. I could be wrong, but I just checked the ASUN schedule on the conference website.

MBB
Bellarmine @ Liberty - 26 & 27 Feb.
WBB
Liberty @ Bellarmine - 27 & 28 Feb.

The ASUN website now shows BU playing at North Alabama this weekend (instead of at North Florida) and then North Alabama visiting Louisville the following weekend. Bellarmine's website said there was a schedule change and BU was to play at North Alabama this weekend and at North Florida next weekend and Liberty coming to Louisville the weekend of feb 26 and 27. So one of the two schedules must be wrong.

I went on the Liberty University basketball website and it now shows Liberty playing at Bellarmine on Feb 26 and 27th.

RE: 2020-2021 Season
What a mess this virus is making of things. I looked at the FGCU mens basketball website and they are going to have to miss the next two weeks games, which will screw up the schedule for a number of teams. Here is what it said.

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Due to a positive COVID result and contact tracing within the program's Tier 1 group, the FGCU men's basketball team will enter a two-week pause. Based on the timing, the Eagles will next play on the road at Jacksonville (Friday-Saturday, Feb. 26-27) which will be the final weekend of the regular-season.

Big games this weekend. I think we will be fine of we can keep them off the boards. I'm uncharacteristicly optimistic about winning the season title.

"Wolf of the Week," as we've heard Scotty mention before:

I'll take BU and, provided they can pull out a tough win, could care less if they "cover":

That was probably Mrs. Moves! It wasn't me because I still have to give Liberty the edge since they have the same schedule but 4 of the 6 are at home compared to BU's 4 of 6 on road. Now I don't know if Liberty will ever make up their games with FGCU or not so who knows if they will even declare a regular season champion.

Whew, glad BU could escape that one tonight with the "w." I imagine Saturday night will be a battle as well.

RE: 2020-2021 Season
Last nights game was one of the best efforts for the Knights I've seen this year. Reminds me of beat downs at Knights Hall of GLVC teams. Travel doesn't seem to bother the Knights. UNA looked like the team that was weary rather than BU. Never seen a team with more offensive charging calls.

Complete domination last night. It was truly remarkable when considering BU has been down there Wednesday and they only knew they were playing UNA on Tuesday night. Cap that off with blowing a big lead Friday and I thought for sure Saturday's game was going to be rough. That was the best 36 minutes of the season (it would have been 40 but the 3rd team had issues scoring against UNA in the end.) By nature I cannot be an optimistic man, but I'm liking their chances at the title now.

Complete agreement. Human nature could catch us looking forward to the Liberty games in Louisville. I hope the coaches can keep the Knights focused on the trip to Northern Florida.

RE: 2020-2021 Season
Given the apparent "snow-pocalypse" in the L'ville metroplex, is the squad staying down south all week?

I only part caught of the pre-game radio show on Saturday night, watched the ESPN+ broadcast, and missed the post-game show on the radio -- didn't hear about the team's travel plans this week.

On Scotty’s weekly TV show he showed a Tweet from ASUN commissioner stating that NCAA is initiating possible legislation that would make BU eligible for NCAA tournament in 2 years instead of 4. If passed this would have a huge impact on recruiting.

That would be fantastic!

By the way, as far as this post-season, is Bellarmine eligible for anything besides the conference tournament? Around the time the D-I move was announced, and then again later on, I heard Scotty say that the Knights could play in the NIT in year one of D-I. But I've subsequently read articles which conflict with that. Is BU immediately eligible for any of the NIT, CBI, or CIT?
