ODU is playing the best they can play, but 6 out of 7 wins were against losing teams, in this weak basketball league, called C-USA. ODU beat Charlotte (5-7)twice, FLA (3-5)twice. FIU (2-12) once and Rice (6-8) once. Oh they did beat Marshall (6-4) once. Lucky for JJ, that ODU does not have to play North Texas (8-2),La. Tech (10-4), WKU (8-2) and USTA (8-6). We have 4 conference games left and 2 of those games are at home, against Middle Tenn (3-9).
Call it the luck of the draw. Wood, you now can extend JJ contract another 5 years, another winning season.

We're playing WKU in the makeup games, and we have two games against UAB. Those are four games where we'll be able to figure out how we measure up.

and just how much size matters! Lets see how Trice, Kalu and Reece can hold up against bigger opponents.

He makes a valid point. This team hasn't played a decent opponent since VCU.

FWIW, Marshall is 68 in NET and 70 in KenPom. The team got the split of those games without Curry and Oliver.

No such limits for thread creation. Not sure what bluelight has done that violates the AUP to get banned. But no one has reported their posts.

If you want legitimate conversion, then sure. Thats not what the dude is interested in......

But, yeah, unfortunately, the only really strong teams we've played are Maryland, VCU, and Marshall. We have 4 games against top 100 teams int the next 6 games though so it might be a pretty solid gauge.

We have 1 really good big man on our schedule in Bassey but its not gonna matter what size we do or dont have because he's really good either way.

How well did you expect the Monarchs to play down 2 starters with guys that had barely left the room in 10 days?

It was very good to get out of one of the games with a victory.

You seriously think the competition is going to get better with a change of coach/AD? You think the A10 is just gonna offer ODU a spot because Wood isn’t there?

If you know your conference is crap, which we do, you can definitely schedule better non conference competition.

The majority of seasons we have strong non conference schedule based on our mid major level.

2015 - 5 top 75 non conference opponents.
2016- 5 top 100 non conference opponents
2017- 5 top 100 non conference opponents
2018- 1 top 100 non conference opponent (Richmond, VCU, Dayton were all bad)
2019- 3 top 100 non conference opponents
2020- 4 top 75 non conference opponents

Outside of 2018 that compares favorably to our peers.
