This would rock at Protective
A lot of NFL and MLS teams do this. They have individual seats, of course, but I’ve found some examples where teams have painted the back rest of bleachers (which I think we’ll have from what I can see):

I guess if the city really wants us and the stadium to prosper, they should be all in and allow us to color the chair backs.

You all do realize "THIS ISN'T OUR STADIUM" proper.
We are no different than USF. They didn't play the Superbowl in USF's stadium. They played in Raymond James. Home of the Buccaneers (and the University of South Florida Bulls)
Just prepping for when the complaining starts

With the exception that we have a bit more skin in the game now.

If UAB wants this, add clip-on cushions to create the desired color pattern.
Hopefully (when it is safe to have lots of people), the butts in seats will cover this and we won't need seat art.

How about we meet in the middle and just have it say BIRMINGHAM or BHAM.

How about we just play in our gorgeous new home, put butts in seats, and not worry about it?

I know you're not new to BlazerTalk. I think there is a requirement about someone worrying about something unimportant at all times.

The Protective Stadium does not belong to UAB and it also does not belong to the City of B'ham.either. The BJCC authorities are the owners, and UAB will be paying rent to them instead of to the city for Legion Field. Since the BJCC doesn't have its own police force, the city may be called upon under contract to provide security employees for events there.UAB's own police may not be legally available since the BJCC is off campus.
I still like the idea of a green and gold turf with gold end zones.

UAB police, and the police of every other state university, actually have statewide jurisdiction.

They are basically state troopers

Thar's not completely true. While UAB does require completion of the Alabama Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission’s academy as well as the ALEA Trooper academy, not all schools do. UAT does not require the additional completion of the trooper academy for one.

One more thing where UAB is better than UAT

An officer's jurisdiction is not dependent on where they went to academy. Alabama Code Section 16-22-2, states "(a)Any police officer appointed pursuant to the provisions of Section 16-47-10 or 16-22-1, is a peace officer whose authority extends to any place in the state." Sec. 22-1 is a grant to state colleges and universities, 47-10 is specifically to the University of Alabama System. If you are a university police officer for a state school, you have statewide jurisdiction by statute.

Well, it's like this. Next season we'll be playing in a brand new stadium, our new home field. This makes me so happy that it would never occur to me to be concerned about whether there are letters on the seats under the fans across from me.
I guess I'm just simple like that.
