2021 MAC - B1G Football games
I saw the B1G released their football schedule for 2021. Noticed a few MAC games on the list...
Sept 4 - Western Michigan @ Michigan
Sept 11 - Miami @ Minnesota, Buffalo @ Nebraska, Eastern Michigan @ Wisconsin, Ball St. @ Penn St.
Sept 18 - Kent St. @ Iowa, NIU @ Michigan
Sept 25 - Bowling Green @ Minnesota, Ohio @ Northwestern, Kent St. @ Maryland, Akron @ Ohio St.

Edit: Thanks FrankAnderson, looked right over that one.

Anyone see a potential upset in that group?

According to last season... WMU over UM, UB over Nebraska, BSU over PSU, and Kent over Maryland.

OSU has a history of getting thumped by teams that start with A and have coaches who coached in the MAC so . . .Akron?

I wish NIU/Michigan was 2022. We have some good recruits, could be hitting on all cylinders again by then.
Hosting Vanderbilt and going to Kentucky in 2022, "so you're telling me there is a chance... yeah!" - movie???

Great OOC schedule in 2022. Both winnable games and it's always fun to host a P5.

Miami originally had seven home games in 2020 (first time ever we had that many), including UC/OU/Army. It was the best schedule we've ever had, even without a P5. So of course 2020 happened.

Michigan is ripe for a MAC upset. Not sure if WMU is up for it though.
Any of those Sept 11 games could be a MAC upset. EMU @ Wisc may be the biggest underdog of those games but, hey, we have beat 3 consecutive B10 teams so why not?

A couple of winnable matchups in there hopefully. Penn State and Nebraska will probably be better this coming season but Ball State and UB have a shot at them. Maryland is usually pretty meh, solid chance for Kent. Northwestern lost to a MAC team the season after their previous division champ so could be something for OU. Lord help Akron.

Is a MAC upset enough to get Harbaugh fired?

We've never played Michigan close. It'll be 53-10.

I think we'll do better than that. Eleby is going to shock some people next year, and we still have some great WRs to throw to and some very good running backs. I think we'll have trouble stopping them though, something like 42-28 seems right.

RE: 2021 MAC - B1G Football games
I think the only time we had a reasonably competitive game at Michigan was that first game after 9/11. Final score was 38-21, and would've been closer if not for a couple bad turnovers.
We've accomplished a lot of good milestones, especially over the Fleck era: Undefeated season, Top 20 ranking, NY6 bowl. But I'd love to add a victory over an in-state B1G school to that list within my lifetime.
Not sure that's in the cards, though. We just seem to take a dump when we play MSU or UM, even during their "down" years.

On the south side of the MAC coin, Ohio State was won a bazillion games in a row in state. Their last loss was in the early 1900s to Kenyon College. So at least you guys get a shot. I would've loved to play MSU last season. Beating them and Michigan would be a crazy fact along with PSU. Our next big chance is ND on 9-11, but that would be a tall order. And to kill my chances of at least having fun, I have a wedding to attend anyways. Why have fall weddings people!

The last Ohio team to beat OSU was Oberlin in 1921.

UC was very meh until Mark Dantonio came along. In that period OSU has been elite under Tressel/Meyer/Day, unlike before then where they had periods of far more inconsistency. Had UC been as good as the past two decades in the generations before they'd be in a P5 conference now and maybe knock off OSU at least once.
