This new dynamic of two signing days will be very interesting to watch the next few years.

Each school seems to have different strategies. SHSU loaded up early and it seems the three (plus one more than is anticipated) may be all she wrote for the spring.

Will this trend hold for SHSU? Will schools adjust strategies, particularly when this 'COVID era' is over?

The transfer portal is the other major change to the recruiting landscape. We lost several players with remaining eligibility who wanted to prove their worth to at the next level (Minnesota, Duke, North Texas). This has left us scrambling to fill holes left by defections.

Who stands out among your signees? A couple of linemen headline ACU’s class

OT Reese Moore, 6’7, 305 transfer from the University of Texas was a former 4 star player coming out of high school.

We picked up OL Jackson Andrews, 6'4, 290, Schertz Clemens on the rebound. The 3 star O lineman was committed to Arkansas State until the Red Wolves lost their coach and he decided to look elsewhere.

Tarleton signed 17 kids.

Joining the 18-member fall class are wide receiver Shane Johnson (San Antonio / Johnson HS) and defensive back Donovan Adkins (Kilgore / Kilgore HS), along with Australian punter Jake Vucenevic.

The Kats also added transfer linebacker Tim Hart (Memphis, Tenn. / Memphis) who has played in 41 games in his career for the Tigers.

Apparently the Kats have also added a RB transfer from Lamar as well though that's not indicated here.

Dixie State signs a total of 16. One transfer and 15 High School recruits.
