OT: Super Bowl Foods & Recipes
I know the Super Bowl is still one week away but I was curious if any of you folks recommend any particular foods including recipes to enjoy for game day. My household has traditionally ingested some form of meat [wings, ribs] with various dips [cheesy, salsa, vegetable] and other snacks. I'm looking for something different and would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance!

If you like Cincinnati style chili, I recommend skyline chili dip. It's really easy to make, and pretty damn good.

Crack Chicken is always a must for my tailgates and such:

3lbs of Chicken Breast
Two Blocks of Cream Cheese
Two Packets of Ranch
Two jalapenos (seeded) chopped

Throw them in a crockpot on high for 3 hours or until you can shred the chicken.
Once you've shredded the chicken, add in back in, along with a bag of shredded cheese (I do Triple Cheddar) and a bag of bacon bits or about half a standard grocery package of bacon cooked and chopped. Mix it around for a bit more, the leave it cook for another 10 minutes on high. You can serve it as a dip or a sandwich (I normally do sandwiches and add some Sweet Baby Rays Sweet and Spicy or Chipotle Tabasco).

Depending on how heavy your eaters are that can serve between 8 and 16 sandwiches. If you go with a bit more chicken, keeping everything else the same would work, just would have a little less "sauce" but that's not a huge deal.

We do something similar except we use a jar of salsa Verde instead of chopped jalapeños

That would be good...I just would play around with it and found Jalapenos gave just enough of a kick for me (though it could be too much for some).

One of my tailgate creations is Rueban balls.

Get a couple blocks of cream cheese, a pound of shaved corned beef, sour kraut, rye bread and a couple eggs.

Turn the rye bread into breadcrumbs in the blender.
Plop down some cream cheese, put some corned beef on top with a pinch of kraut. Roll that mix into 1/2 to 1 inch size balls. Dip the balls in egg batter, then rolling crumbs. Bake in the oven for like 25 minutes when done.

A bit labor intensive but they're great and just need some thousand island to dip.

Those sound like they would be good dipped in some spicy German mustard as well.

This sounds yummy. I have to give it a try.

I missed a word originally...that should say two packets of ranch seasoning. Hidden Valley and Kroger both sell little 2oz packages of ranch dry seasoning in the dressing aisle, that should be what you use, not ranch dressing itself.

I love me some hanky panks. A pound of ground beef and a pound of sausage crumbled and browned in a skillet. Add a pound of velveeta cut in cubes. Melt that in and mix it up with A teaspoon of garlic powder and a few splashes of worcestershire. Then dab that mixture onto little cocktail rye bread slices and put it in the oven for about 10 minutes to crisp up the bread. If there are any leftovers you can freeze them and reheat them in the oven later.

I like to use the Mexican velveta and chop up some jalapeños for mine but yea those are delicious.

Another super easy one is a can of rotel and a pound of velveeta cubed in the crockpot. Let it melt and stir it up. Some of the most addictive queso ever, I could drink it.

Ok one more then I quit. Get some croissant dough, roll it out and cut it into tiny chiclet sized squares with a pizza cutter. Mix that together with a pound of spicy sausage and a bag of sharp shredded cheddar. Might add some garlic powder as well because hell i put that in everything. Roll it up into little balls about golf ball sized and bake them in the oven. Don’t remember how long but you want to make sure the sausage is cooked. There won’t be any left.

Ham and Cheese Sliders are always a decent hit too.

Get a sheet of those Hawaiian Rolls and cut them in half across the depth (so that all the tops are off), spread some deli ham (or leftover ham from a holiday dinner if you're at the right time of year for it) and some swiss cheese along with a smear of honey mustard or dijon mustard depending on preference. In a bowl, mix some melted butter, diced garlic (or garlic powder), black pepper, basil, and oregano then pour that all over the tops of the assembled loaf of ham and cheese and throw it in the oven for 10 minutes at 250 until the cheese is melted.

Going to do this, but mini slider hamburgers. Check out air fryer chicken wings. They are pretty legit, but I prefer smoked if you have the time and capabilities.

These pepper poppers are really good. Smoked are amazing but also fine in oven. I usually spice them up a bit from the recipe.

RE: OT: Super Bowl Foods & Recipes
We have two things:

1) Ham roll ups. Take a package of Pilsbury crescent rolls and spread it out into a single rectangular sheet. Spread a thin layer of mustard on it, then cover with ham. Roll it up and slide it into little bite sized pieces and bake until golden brown.

2) Bacon chicken. Cook bacon just enough that it is about 1/3 to 1/2 way done. Cut up chicken breasts into small portions, wrap them with the bacon and secure with a toothpick. Then coat the bacon-chicken in a mixture of brown sugar and chili powder. Bake in the oven until the bacon and chicken are done. Fantastic!
