Wouldnt that be a kick in the butt? We join a conference with ECU, Marshall and Charlotte as our closest "rivals" and they all leave. I kind of figured in most scenarios we'd be tied to Marshall and Charlotte. I can see the appeal for Charlotte, but I cant see Marshall liking that set up. If we didnt go with them, our only feasible option would have to be going Indy.

Unless we could replace them with JMU & Liberty. But I imagine the rest of the league would be like FU ODU we're staying at 12. Which would be my attitude if say the MWC took a couple TX teams.

I was told combination of marshall southern miss odu and Charlotte. Sun belt poaches 2 of them. We will see. Only telling you what I was told. Great source though.

If I was the SB it would be an easy choice. USM and MU. That would Make the SB a pretty decent football league. Probably third in G5. If they took all 4 of us I’d be ok with that. But I just don’t see it happening.

Would love to see Marshall and Charlotte poached. Would put a lot more pressure on the Indy route for us. Moving all sports to the SB is probably the worst case scenario. Moving football only to the SB and scrambling to find a home for other sports is the best case scenario. I say that as someone who wants basketball in the A10 and that gives us a clear path. Really don’t care where football lands. 6 wins and a crappy bowl is 6 wins and a crappy bowl regardless of the conference.
