Yeah, FSU doesn't exactly scratch that itch of being closer to home. Seems like an easy excuse to me. I wonder what the real reason is.

at first i had no judgement because family is important and sometimes people go through things.

but this doesn't make sense. houston and floridia are the same distance by flight to north carolina. they both are about 3/4 hrs. and it is a 7 hr drive back to his hometown. although you can do 7hrs on car on a weekend it is not practical. i just read one of his reasons was he wanted to make sure he got more playing time.
i guess it was playing time on why he transferred.

Have heard some rumblings that he has been told he needs to be a PG to play at the next level, and he wasn't going to have many minutes at the point in Houston. He still should have finished the season before entering the portal. Bad look on him.

As review of my posts will affirm, I am a Mills fan. However, he is too slow and lacks the necessary ball handling skills for PG duty. Nevertheless, I hope he proves me wrong.

The Tiger defense has been consistently ferocious. The main problems are inane turnovers and puzzlingly poor shooting. Tiger fans hope the newfound shooting skill it is the start of a trend.

Did not see it coming, but it was definitely a must-win game for Memphis.

Glad to see them showing signs of life.

They'll have to go 11-2 the rest of the way to finish with a .72 winning percentage (18-7), which is usually close to the minimum NCAA tournament threshold for AAC teams.

They might be able to make the NIT with a 16-9 record, which would require them to go 9-4 the rest of the way.

Then again, they could get hot at AAC tournament time if they continue to shine on defense.

Hope the Tigers make one of the two tournaments.
