RE: The annual SBCbbs Hunger Games
Day turns to night, night turns to day. Who knows what day it is in the SBC Hunter Games, the Arena is on freaking fire, and I'm not talking about the 2020 ULM football season
The fire spreads quickly and throughout the arena our heroes quickly awaken from whatever slumbers they were in and begin to run very fast. Faster and faster the flames move as our heroes are forced together and eventually they will likely have to battle it out.
First out of the gate and with the Advantage of the secret pathway he discovered earlier, Arrowhead has managed to leap ahead of several others and is the first to reach the frozen lake. Realizing that fire cannot cross water. (ULM Education peeps) he quickly sprints across the lake at what he judges to be the safest point. Arrowhead will survive another day
Minutes later FrankyP reaches the lake, he pauses briefly to search for alligators, but realizes that Aligator food is better than getting burnt to a crisp, and sprints across. Relax, no one would ever put an alligator in these hunger games, the Cajun Fans would kill him and turn him into stew...FrankyP Survives another Day
Panama and Yosef Himself both arrive within seconds of each other. Yosef pauses for a second and actually considers shooting Panama, but decides to let him pass, and both cross the frozen lake to safety Panama and Yosef Himself will survive another day
Running faster than he's ever run in his life, Ericsaid becomes the 5th hero to reach the lake. Flames are licking at his back ready to engulf him, but alas Eric ran at least a 10.2 40 as he sprints into safety, then huddles behind the pile of presents in the middle and watches the carnage. Ericsaid Survives another day
By this point the flames have become too much. They have caught up to our remaining heroes, Quickly CatMom, SkullyMarroo, TrueBlueDrew GaSoEagle, RamblinRedWolf, Rocamortis, and Saint333 are all caught by the flames, which encircle them, but go no further. This fire has formed a circle, and all seven realize at once that if they are going to get out, they will have to fight. There's a brief moment of pause as they consider this inevitable, and they all immediately pull out their weapons.
First to the draw is Rokamortis. Using CCU's Conference Championship as motivation, he grabs his trident and prepares to fight anyone who stands in his way. The only opening of escape to the lake sits directly behind Rokamortis and his trident. No one moves, until finally TrueBluedrew hatches an idea. He slowly walks toward Rokamortis and then goes into a coughing fit and falls right at the feet hacking and sputtering. Scared of the danger his germs may provide, Roka immediately backs off repulsed, leaving the tiniest opening of escape, and TrueBlueDrew uses the skills taught to him by years of triple option offenses to attack it and manages to just escape the flames with a few burns to his legs. Those can heal...right? TrueBlueDrew survives another day\
Rokamortis momentarily lapse has spurred the rest of the tributes into action. RamblinRedWolf is first up, clutching the sword he's held since the games began. He charges at Cat Mom, and the two battle. Both blades are strong as they furiously go at each other, buit it appears RamblinRedWolf has forgotten how to block, as each Cat Mom attack gets closer and closer to the target. Realizing her opponent can't defend, Cat Mom Shrieks with rage and charges and one wild swing connects, separating RamblinRedWolf's head from his body with one cruel blow. CatMom decapitates RamblinRedWolf with a sword
On the other end of the flames, SkullyMarro has finally found the courage to fight. Surprising all, he has charged at the Trident weaving Rokamortis, and has surprised his foe with the speed of his attack. Slowly Rokamortis retreats further and further, eventually finds his feet at the edge of the flames, hungry to consume its victim. Rokamortis defends valiently, but Skully's surprising sword skill is just too much. He finally lands a blow, mortally wounding Rokamortis before finishing it off by roundhouse kicking him into the awaiting fire. SkullyMarroo kills Rokamortis with the sword
Skully Marroo stands there in almost awe of what he had done. He had vanquished the champs, and he realizes that he must sieze this opportunity. He turns to face his enemies and shouts "Let Today, be a lesson to All of You, Do not Cross South Alabama, we are here, we are back, and we are coming for you and your.... But Skully's last sentence was caught as Saint333 shoots an arrow right into Skully's heart. Shock quickly shows on the face of the last South Alabama fan in the competition. He falls forward dead on the ground, and Saint runs up and heaves the body into the fire. "Never liked his jokes anyway' Saint mutters. Saint333 kills SkullyMarroo with a bow and arrow
GaSoEagle is next to the fight, he draws his spear, realizes he must make his stand now. "For Shai Wertz" he screams as he charges at Saint333. But Saint was far too strong. He easily parries the attack and throws GaSoEagle to the Ground. Just as the flames begin to recede. Saint approaches the struggling figure on the ground, Sticks his foot on the back of GaSoEagle's neck. He thinks about making the final kill, but Saint mutters something about having bigger fish to fry and walks off. Saint333 spares GaSoEagle's life
The fire parts, and CatMom, Saint333, and GaSoEagle quickly cross the frozen lake and survive another day. While the fire will go no further, the Arena is now a third of its original size. All of our remaining heroes realize that the end game is fast approaching, and only one of them can survive in the end.
