Would be a great move for UTA. WAC does need a 14th member if they want an even number of teams.

Lets be clear, I don't believe Sun Belt rules allow UTA to play football in the WAC. If they started football, it has to be FBS football...or they have to leave the conference.

That’s the idea, they would join the WAC, start football and play FCS with them until the conference makes the move. How did you get lost by that???

Yeah I was referring to them joining the WAC with full membership.

If they decided to leave, not like we can stop them. I do think it’s a good option for UTA if they wanted to restart football with less demand then needing to go direct from zero to FBS.
