A little...but with the talent we've been bringing in, its not earth-shattering. Honestly, this opens the slot for Tre Tucker, which seems like an improvement to me.

Yea, my guess is he wants to be a featured guy which would likely mean going down in league from what we've seen. Probably also the emergence of the tight ends doesn't help either. Hard to believe he would be in his 4th year.

My guess is he wants to go somewhere he's going to get more balls thrown his way. He was a starter this season so obviously the staff felt he was one of our best options. But only 27 receptions and 17 the year before. He must believe he'll have a better opportunity to showcase his skills in an offense where he's getting more balls which would make sense to me. He's been a good player for us and I wish him well.

That wide receiver room is crowded. I want to see Tuck get more opportunities so hopefully Jackson moving on helps in this regard. He can be electric in space. You think about Tuck, Pierce and Young, Jr. on the field along with Whyle. Sheesh.

Jackson had a really promising year as a freshman with a couple of big catches, but has never been able to find a way to be a more featured member of the receiving group.

67 catches 790 yards and 3 TD in 3 years.

Other than Pierce, it’s been strange how little traction we have gotten out of recruiting that position group.

I think that's more a product of the offensive gameplan and QB play than WR talent level...but we won't really know until one or both chance to allow for the WRs to make plays. MYJ was pretty great for most of this year though.

Question: Do we get Young Jr. back?

For some reason I thought this was his last year. He has been an incredible transfer get for one year. If we get 2 years of him yeesh.

He was a gard transfer, but he moved on from ND after 3 years (w/a redshirt) so he had two years of eligibility here and announced he was coming back.

Well, I guess when the guy in front of you on the depth chart was in the class AFTER you, and he gets named to the ESPN+ True Freshman All-American team, transfer or position change is how you can see the field. Wish him well.

The unfortunate thing for a guy like Hummel, who honestly could've played about 5 different positions (DE, TE, OC, OG, and OT...maybe LB but that would've been formation/situationally dependent) on a college field coming in as a high school entry, is that now he's pretty much pigeonholed into a position group that only has one starting/playing spot out of the 22 in the primary areas.

Met his family at a game once. Great people and wish him nothing but the best!

Arkansas St. usually has a solid program but cmon not Butch Jones. The same guy that was smoking gars as an Alabama analyst and posting it on social media after beating players he recruited to Tennessee tells me all I need to know about a man.

I haven't seen anything regarding Jackson. Does he get his spot back if he decides not to transfer?
