“The Memphis basketball team will host UCF twice in three days after this week's scheduled road date with the Knights was postponed.
The Tigers will play UCF at 7 p.m. on Feb. 1, then take on the Knights again 48 hours later on Feb. 3 at 7 p.m.”

We already traveled there once. They are already going to be here with no additional costs, so it's a smart move. Maybe we subsidize the extra hotel costs. Plus, without fans - or limited at the very best - the home advantage is mostly gone.
I think this type of scheduling could be a thing of the future in college bb. Play UCF here twice in 3-4 days. Then play Tulane twice there. Next year it flip-flops. Would cut travel costs in half, for the post-COVID budgets.
The PAC has the best geographical setup...Almost perfect
Thurs - Saturday or Friday Sunday...
Arizona - Arizona St.
Cal - UCLA
Washington - Washington St.
Oregon - Oregon St.
League should at least pair UCF - USF, Houston - SMU (A little far but workable) for teams to at least lessen travel costs.

Especially if we were to add a team from, say, Idaho?

Might as well pair them with someone in Utah.

Just nitpicking, but it actually gets better.

Pairing makes sense where you can - especially with today's budgets.
What I'm talking about is different though. I'm talking about doing a MLB-style series in one location and then you're done for the year. Like we're going to do with UCF this year.

While financially it makes sense for travel...
But once fans are allowed again it wont be fair from a competition standpoint or a ticket sales stand point.

Financial may trump fairness for a few years.
