Finally closed out a close game. This team is such an enigma, but a great win nevertheless.

i don't know if any of you remember the games after the xavier brawl and Mick suspended yancy gates and several other players. He went to a 4 guard lineup and I think UC won like 7 or 8 straight games. The wright state game was the first one and the team rolled with the small lineup. Maybe lightning strikes twice.

Gotta give Brannen some credit. Pulled the right strings on this one. And still a lot of room for improvement. Team looked pumped after win. Winning solves a lot of problems. The only thing I want out of this season now is to feel good going into next year.

Well I'll be!

Nice win!

Credit to Brannen for changing the lineup. Williams was awful most of the game but he certainly made a difference down the stretch. Davenport was great all night and is looking like a team leader.

UC really needed this.

He really was great at the end of that game. If he can be that guy, they can possibly salvage the season.

As I mentioned, same time last year he figured things out.

By far their best game of the season (and they were trailing for like 38 out of 40 minutes).

43% from three. That is what kept us in this one.

They got rolled that one time down at Moody maybe year 1 in the AAC but other than that UC hasn’t had much of a problem finding ways to win down there.

Obviously this year isn’t quite the same, but still.

DeJulius is just the second UC player with at least 12 assists in a game for UC since 1988.

Steve Logan had 16 against Collin State in 2001 per Mo Egger

Need more Vogt. We can’t let the other team down. They expect Vogt to play 20 so they build a lead. It’s not fair that the coach didn’t play him and went with his best players. I thought UC was tanking on purpose.

RE: Bearcats at SMU
Well, we found a couple of solutions:

DeJuluis should create, not shoot
Davenport and Harvey should take all of Vogt's minutes
Keith needs a shorter leash.

Nobody on the staff or on the court has leadership skills right now to make losing unacceptable. I actually see some talent and moments of good basketball but there is a lot that makes you wonder what is going on with the program. I hope they find a way tonight to win.

JD is the future leader on this team, if not already. He's the only one that plays with emotion out there. He hustles every play and has a ton of fight, even against players way bigger than him. if he keeps up his offensive production, he'll be the unquestioned leader on this team. it's only a matter of time before the rest of the team looks up to him.
