But how many posts have there been here in recent weeks about our need to upgrade and/or add depth at the QB position?

With that in mind, I think any QB (not limited to QB) that is transferring can be considered Blazer related until proven otherwise

Not only is he (from your description) not "a solution" but begs the question of why is he on scholarship at Auburn in the first place?

the fact that he played in the minor leagues would indicate he had athletic ability and talent. backups have value. we were down to a third string qb very quickly.

The LSU QB who threw the interception setting up the winning Blazer FG in 2000 was a former minor league baseball player who had come back to LSU on a football scholarship.

My question about this guy was based upon my earlier post about the influence Montgomery politicians have in the Auburn operations. Unlike their cross state rivals, every position at Auburn is directly under the control of state politicians, from appointing the AU BOT (the governor does that) down. It was well known that Gov. Gordon Person personally ordered the hire of Ralph "Shug" Jordan as FBHC in the 50s. I don't know to what extent, if any, this Montgomery control has changed.. Jordan complained at a TD Club meeting that who got scholarship offers and then playing time in games were subjects/interference he had to deal with regularly.
