Meaningless Exhibition Games
These bowl games are meaningless exhibition games that only exist for the networks to make a buck. You would have to be an idiot to think otherwise. The players don't care, even though we had zero opt out this year and zero opt out last year.

I don't know what all the fuss is about in this video; especially starting at the 2 minute mark. Doesn't our football team know that beating FAU is the same thing as the basketball team beating Christian Brothers? I guess none of our genius posters explained to them what idiots they are.

Yes

Most enterprises in the USA even non-profits are to make a buck. So they are just doin what we do right?

Agree

disagree; 'most' don't care. Most football is a job that gets them ahead. They jerk off the media, coaches and fans with rocky and rudy type phrases. Incidentally of all the manipulations and pap pandering's that exist, i find this one to be the least offensive and kind of nice. Much better than the 'real' rocker thing or the 'honest' politician thing or the 'sincere' actor sctick...

Red Herring here...

No chance I watch. The setup was too good. I don't need to.

I would think that most of our football team thinks that FAU is an airport. And all they know is their coaches, media and fans are paying attention to them.

Can't expect the gullible to be anything but astounded by the mundane. Question is which is which?

They looked so happy after winning the game. One of our fans in this thread thinks that they are idiots, naive and faking it.

They looked like they were playing for the love of the game, as it should be. They’re still kids/young men. I wish I could still do it.

I just watched Oklahoma - Florida highlights. Oklahoma's season was supposedly over almost 3 months ago when they were 1-2. They were dancing on the stage after the game like idiots. Why are idiot players so happy? You don't see basketball players dancing like that after they beat Christian Brothers.

Some of our bozo fans know better.

Well, I mean, really when you get right down to it, the whole season is an exhibition. For anybody but a handful of teams who have an actual chance at a title.

You spend a lot of time and money on something that doesn't count. This would probably be news to all of the players.

Meaningless Exhibition Games
The bowl games can be meaningless and players can also have fun playing in them. They are not mutually exclusive

I watched most of the second half. Announcers were talking about Florida having a lot of players opting out thus contributing to the lopsided score.

Tulsa has a postseason final ranking on the line. That seems meaningful in a number of ways.
