He's also on a two way contract, so there's a cap on how many games he's able to play for the Hawks, I believe.

Oh, I thought it was 45 days with the team (during a standard season). I did know it also limited participation.

Starting center, Clint Capella, was back, so, Nate's not going to see minutes unless the front court players ahead of him get injured, or stop producing. Just needs to keep contributing when opportunities arise.

I think it used to be like that, but this year they can be active for up to 50 games.

I don't know if Nate was deemed active tonight or not.

Yeah, I think this is the main reason Nate didn't play. He was fortunate that there were a couple injuries in the first few games, but Capela is a 30 minute type of player. That's gonna leave a lot fewer minutes for the bench.

Tentative G League plans require players to start at home quarantine on Jan 13th, then bubble set up in Orlando, with playoffs, Mar 5-9. Will be interesting to see how Atlanta handles Nate. Hope he gets more opportunities to influence their choice before Jan 13th.

There's 3 other CAA players on 2-way deals, Riller (Charlotte), Cacok (Lakers), and Brantley (Utah). Brantley was first team All-NBAGL last year.

The Hawks have a very crowded frontcourt even with the injuries, so it's super impressive he's even seen the floor as much as he has to date. Let alone produced at a high, efficient level when he's gotten out there.

Achilles problems like Capela was dealing with don't always just go away quickly, and Gallinari is typically an injury risk if my memory serves me well (I'm not a huge NBA guy). So while you never root for injuries, I imagine there will be more to come for the Atlanta frontcourt to give Knight additional opportunities this season. Plus the nature of the schedule with all the back-to-backs the league has employed this season will open up minutes, too.

That's a tremendous quote.

That's a Navy S.E.A.L. quote, so, naturally, it's badass.

Believe Nate Darling is, also, on a 2 way deal with Charlotte.

Good find, I forgot about Darling. I'm still not really sure how he's up there. He never seemed very impressive at Delaware.

Knight hasn't entered the game 1H. But, Hawks are up on a heavily favored Nets.

Really? I don't know how you wouldn't be impressed by what he did in the CAA. He was a scoring machine in his limited time at Delaware. Not really an NBA level talent, but absolutely a very good player that will have a long pro career.

No minutes for Knight at halftime. Good thing he showed out when he got minutes a few nights back, seems like he is a little buried on the depth chart
