We need an official women's basketball news/game thread. It will probably end up like four pages long by season's end. Depending on how this works out if UCF and Houston avoid each other we could see UCF, USF, and Houston all at/near double digit wins and one loss. Probably brings the conference a little more attention in the WBB world, especially since they will tie in UConn leaving.

Houston and UCF aren't close to USF's level. They will both drop games to other teams.

SMU was 0-6 at this point. So not going anywhere and putting their kids at risk. I’m sure that lead to decision

Because they're now the University of Dallas. Much like the Universities of Tulsa, Houston, Cincinnati, Memphis, Orlando, Tampa, and Wichita (not a state you dumb Kansans)

I think it's true they aren't as good as USF, but I also think that is a really good team. Houston and UCF are pretty good. If they avoid each other this next game (UCF has had a couple postponements) they will both get some attention with only one loss. The league is looking like three bids right now, maybe four, should be a fun year.

Memphis State had Memphis only on their jerseys in red script. Used to bother me, but it's a cool looking retro uniform. I realize this is different since Dallas isn't Part of the SMU name but It looks cool to me as a graphic designer by trade.

It doesn't seem odd today because we're now named Memphis, but back then we were Memphis State.
