RE: The AAC getting exposed
Doesn't matter.
Every year the AAC champ will have a great shot at the Access Bowl slot. And that is the best we can hope for in this sport and the way it is managed.
No one cares about how we do in all of these other filler bowls. We've had big years with like 4-1 records, and we've had terrible years with 1-4 records. Contrary to the dire warnings posted here every year we underperform - no one cares. Especially this year, when everything is sort of glanced at and forgotten.
If BYU tried to schedule a last minute game with Cincy, that is hilarious. Cincy made the right move to avoid the risk to their big payday. BYU had a chance to join the conference once upon a time.
It's also why Boise is considering making a play to get in. The AAC is the best of the rest.

Too good for us at $2 million, want in at $7 million. Boise can stay in their little nowhere conference. The undefeated team that just beat them is the 5th ranked non P5 in the country, playing in a bowl with a 200k payout. The MWC hasn't played in NY6 in 6 years and an undefeated team doesn't get close to a sniff.

They are buried on CBSSN and Fox Sports with half of our tv money, which will be less than half when their contract expires. Keep them there.

2020 BOISE STATE TV SCHEDULE (CST)

6PM Utah State FS1
5PM @ Air Force CBSSN
8PM BYU FS1
7PM Colorado State FS1
10PM Hawaii CBSSN
CAN San Jose State FS2
CAN UNLV CBSSN
5PM Wyoming CBSSN
3PM San Jose State FOX

Boise State is FINE where they are. No longer a national program, no marquee conference opponents, no national games, buried on CBSSN and FS1; soon to be making NO money when their contract runs out in 2026.

We don't need to help them.

So funny. We get so upset about the big boys pissing on us, but some people here cant wait to piss all over other teams and conferences...

Boise pissed on us twice. Now that we are in a conference that has 10X the exposure theirs does, with twice the money, they want in. Did we reject them or the Big 12? I would be happy to see us, Cincinnati and UCF get in. I would be unhappy to see Houston, Boise or BYU get in because I don't like them.

Such a dumb argument on your part. Predictable. Funny.

Merry Christmas.

It really is predictable and ridiculous that he fails to admit the difference.
We don't get upset with the P5 for playing us. We get upset with them for refusing to play us.
We don't try to keep the MWC from getting any revenue. Have at it. We just earn more than they do.
It is a dumb argument.

Honestly this loss is pretty on-brand for Tulsa. Can win or lose to anybody while looking super ugly on the field.

Yep totally dominated statistically....unfortunately one of those stats was turnovers! One pick six while going in for a score and another pick in the endzone.

This really isn't the place for it but not worth it's own thread. What's with the pink seats at the Liberty Bowl?

The worst thing that happened this year for the conference, is Cincinnati not destroying Tulsa.

The ACC can now beg us to join. The AAC finish bowl season with one more victory than the ACC.
