Clark to interview for Auburn Head Coach job - updated - 2nd interview

I would guess, I may be wrong, that none of our other receivers have all the tools Shropshire has. Roddy White was fast, but he was also tall and strong. Mitchell may can out-leap a DB, but he’s not going to be able to muscle him off. That’s what separates a guy like Roddy White. You can really throw to him in coverage and he doesn’t have to rely on just out-leaping the DB.

Season's over. Vincent should be gone if we're serious about getting out of CUSA and into the top 25.

After some of the comments on this Auburn thing from Clark, I’m going to say there’s 0% chance of that happening.

I know we've made fun of them lately, but Auburn is a pretty big time college football program. I have to think it'd take a program on that level or higher, in the south, that would give him complete control over the coaching staff - at a minimum - for him to leave. Hopefully that means he's around a few years longer at least.
I think the main reason is that he was never offered the job

Exactly. He left his alma mater after one season for a better career opportunity. I do not believe he would still be our coach if Auburn really offered. Same goes for Billy Napier and AU.

I dont think Clark was ever offered but the conditions of an offer were presented to him and he said no. If nothing else, this confirms that he's not gonna leave us for money alone. If the AU job didnt entice enough to give up total control i dont think anything will.

Auburn's president pretty much called out Clark without saying his name in an email about the coaching search to Auburn supporters. Pretty wild. Seems like after the fact spin to me.

That email, which I received because I bought a basketball ticket when UAB played them, is an embarrassment for their university. Using a communication that should spotlight his new hire, their president decides to take ambiguous shots at Napier and Clark.
Why? This shows so little tact. **** them and **** him.

it seem that Napier and clark were offered and the sec mentality people in the south cannot beleive they turn it down because those coach find out that the place was a mess and auburn will never be auburn of the past
young kids dont want to leave in a small away far away from big town ....and it is suck to be rich in a rural area ....

AU couldn’t get anybody in the south to agree to their hiring terms.... so they had to travel 2100 miles to find a new coach. I’ll give them credit, he is a decent coach.

RE: Clark to interview for Auburn Head Coach job - updated - 2nd interview
As I had to tell my mother yesterday, who tends to believe whatever the Auburn administration tells her- I don't believe a word that comes out of their mouth. And I know Clark hasn't made specific statements about it (and he won't, because he's got integrity), but that letter is such horsesh!t. They're trying to act like that had this under control, when in reality it was a dumpster fire. Funny part is- as someone mentioned above- they hired a good coach...in spite of themselves. A broken clock is right twice a day; sun shines on a dog's ass every now and then; etc. etc.
