RE: Steere
Wow! We could be 9-0 and ranked in the top 25 and you would still be pissing and moaning about one thing that didn't pan out. If it ends up happening. If God himself was coaching, he couldn't make you happy. Don't even get me started about the talk already going on about players transferring. Unbelievable.

I'm definitely happy we are headed the right direction. Is it wrong that I want better?
What do you mean talk about players transferring?

And you are completely missing the point, Pridgen is apples to oranges. Pridgeon is at a spot where we had a ton of depth. While his rebounding has proven clutch near term, we had plenty of other options at the position. We didn't at the position they took a chance on Steere with. And let's not forget we HAD a big man, one who is doing ok elsewhere. We ran him off an gave that scolly to Steere instead. Let's just agree to disagree shall we?
Don't know where you're getting your information from, but "we" did not run him off. He apparently didn't think he could fit into Siddle's system, so he chose to transfer. That left us without the size we needed. We didn't have any big man offers to commit. And Steere was looking to transfer because there was a coaching change change at St. Johns.
Wouldn't it be the coaches job to make said big man aware of how he could fit? Look, I hope it works out better than Steere did and I hope size doesn't bite us.
FWIW, Linnsen was still on the roster when Steere signed. His scholarship coming open resulted in us going after Pridgen. He's also averaging 6 points and 2 rebounds per game this season. I don't think he'd be doing much better here in our system.
Wrong. Linssen left April 6, Steere was announced April 16. ( I did look that up before i made the comment)
Steere committed on March 30th...

Yep, you and Bricks are correct. The only thing i could find is when it was formally announced on UNCW sports and that was April 16. (see how easy it is to admit you are wrong?) if you you guys did that about Steere we probably still wouldn't be having this discussion

They just announced Steere leaving school today. You were right about him, but no need to falsley accuse Siddle of '"running off people" with no evidence of it. Congrats on being right, I'm glad you have a whole thread to boast it.

I think the question we all want answered is not about who is right or wrong. WHY did he leave THIS time?
In all fairness, this should’ve been a location he thrived in. A low mid major, a coach that doesn’t have a ton of size on the roster, so he was a much needed commodity, and the team playing well.
Who cares who was right/wrong here. We can boast and point fingers at that all day. Why did he leave? That’s important to know.
Especially for a coach who won’t recruit many bigs, because we won’t use that many. Why he left is a huge piece to get answered. Maybe the Seahawk Perch will look into the details.
This sucks for all of us. The team and the fans.

Geez Shy is bumped back again? First it was mid Dec, then Early Jan, now mid Jan. I hope things are going ok in his comeback.

That a Siddle quote or a Seahawk Perch tweet your quoting?
Personally, I think the judgment is fair. This isn’t the first team he’s left high and dry. Maybe people should stop kissing kids’ asses when they do this and not be afraid to tell them the truth of their actions.
He’s another one that I hope finds his way in life, but I don’t have any respect for.

Moving on from Steere, the immediate concern is for Shykeim and getting him back as soon as possible so he’s in a good flow by the time the CAAT rolls around.
Then there’s Carr. Obvious red flags on this one. Personally, I don’t think we’ll ever see him in a Seahawk uniform. Hope whatever he’s going through though, that he can overcome it. Would love to be wrong and see him on the court.

I think he’ll be playing by mid Jan. To be fair though, coming back from an infection is very difficult. First and foremost, I want him healthy and not rushed. He’s a high quality player and young man.

I typically watch all the shows from home or work. Don’t tell work. That might upset them. Lol
