Not sure what to make of it. He’s working in his office on bowl prep, but he’s dressed up like he did an interview.

Oh, he was dressed for an interview via Zoom.

Mom: What's your Dad doing?
Son: He is on the office working on bowl prep but.......
Mom: But what?
Son: He's dressed like he did an interview for another job!

We can only hope.
Maybe the UAB big boosters will be able to give Clark a raise to keep him. I know my little yearly donation adds to total but I can’t make much of a dent. I also “heard” that Boise is not going to the AAC mainly because AAC will not accept a football-only school.

I would love to hear that Clark is staying and we are moving to the AAC.

That would erase a lot of the awfulness of this past year for me.

This isn't true at all.

Hearing from a couple of sources that UAB HC Bill Clark is no longer in the running for the Auburn coaching job.

Obviously, this isn't concrete, but am waiting for additional confirmation from other sources.

Again. I expect Bill Clark to lead UAB out of the tunnel at Protective Stadium.

See you guys in Tampa.

This is all a dog and pony show. If Auburn did not offer Bill the job after this last interview then Clark probably just said thank you for the interview and good luck with the job search.

You don't interview two times to turn down a job. Just my opinion of course.

I never thought I'd live to see the day a UAB football coach turned down a head coaching position at Auburn..

Now they get to play the “he was never offered” card to save face.

RE: Clark to interview for Auburn Head Coach job - updated - 2nd interview
It may be that the accumulation of Auburn sour notes in their coaching stories -- Lowder's plane trip, Terry Bowden's treatment so Jimbo never even looked their way and the way Gus was fired and perhaps others-- has made their program unattractive to the better prospects. Nevertheless, if FBHC Clark continues to win games and championships, he will be wooed by more and more programs offering more and more money and resources. If Auburn has failed, it is only momentary comfort until it happens again.

Propst to Auburn? Yes

Should have used the blue font but I think you came close to the reference I was using.

We know it will happen at some point but it shows just where our program has risen to where we're sad to have a coach being mentioned for another job. All other times, we were tossing them out w/ the trash & couldn't do it fast enough. If he does go, while I'll be sad, the program is better & there's some decent coaches out there willing to come take over.

Come on....do you really think Clark turned down the job? I mean do you really think Auburn said, "will you accept the position?" and Clark said "no"? If anything it was a mutual parting.

Regardless, Clark staying is a good thing for UAB Football so rejoice.

Grant@graglita

Source close to me within the UAB program is saying that Bill Clark has just let the players know he is staying at #UAB. Look for #Auburn to look towards Neal Brown now it’s in search
