RE: 2020 Gasparilla Bowl
How the freak did a 2-8 south Carolina get in a bowl?
They wouldn’t have made a bowl in a normal year. That’s some BS!

This year, due to the pandemic, the rules are relaxed about needing six wins to get into a bowl game. $EC putting every team on except for LSU (and I think Vanderbilt also).

Former Atlanta mayor Maynard Jackson was a visionary for making the airport what it is today.
I'll catch it on TV. Have fun whoever is going.

My flight is at 6am.
Fox rental car has never let me down. Some of the best prices.
I’m staying in the beach in Clearwater just because. ;-)
Thanks for the info!

most sec teams buy 4 games a years and they need to win only 2 of the 8 to be eligible ,,,that is a normal year for a weak sec teams

Go down to "The Hurricane" on Pass-A-Grille Beach and have a grouper sandwich (with cheddar cheese) and drinks. http://www.thehurricane.com/
Breakfast at Skyway Jack's in St. Pete. https://www.skywayjacksfl.com/

They still lost 8 which would have netted them less than 6 wins.
Are there schools with less losses sitting at home. If so what a shame

One of those four is the Gamecocks annual whipping by Clemson. Last year App State beat them at home too.

Welp....
Mike Uva
Saturday’s bowl game for South Carolina could be in jeopardy. According to team sources, COVID “contact tracing” could prevent the team from practicing again today. The team is expected to meet soon; today’s practice is still scheduled depending on “how the meeting goes” @wachfox

Knew there was a strong possibility of us getting f*cked over and now Army is bowling and not something we could entertain.

Does South Carolina really want to play this game. I wonder how tightly they are monitoring their players after a 2-9 season that many probably want to be over...

I am guessing that the UAB players have already been asked and decided to play.

That’s what I was thinking. Nobody likely asked the players if they wanted to play the day after or practice during the week of Christmas while sitting at 2-8. It’s not really a Beach trip, either. It’s just a quick road game.
The line is at UAB -7. But I’d probably flip that to USC somewhere between USC -7 and -10 if USC doesn’t have covid issues.
