Good, Coastal pussed out and got what they deserve. Reminder ohio state was without 22 players, still played.

It was simply a risk mitigation. If Coastal played in the championship and lost they are out of the NY6. If they win and Cincinnati wins they are probably still out. They needed Tulsa to win to get in. So they passed on the championship game to avoid the loss and hoped for a Tulsa win. They could pass on today’s game and do no worse than co champions.

I was pulling for Tulsa. I wanted the SBC in a NY6.

I was pulling for Tulsa as well. I was just stating that if NY6 is the top prize, just taking the co championship title is the safest move for Coastal.

So that makes what they did ok? Today was a very bad “no look” for the SBC. Wasted a huge opportunity. Love the dagger that Cincinnati landed tonight!

I was pulling for Tulsa as well - up until Thursday night.
Then my allegiance was forced to be switched. Not sure why though.

Hell, if Coastal would have beaten the Cajuns today, I would have gladly pulled for Tulsa.

I can understand why UL fans would feel this way. I’ll bet most of the conference feels Coastal dodged the championship. Which is a sad way to finish an otherwise great season.

As I watched this game tonight you know that that overrated Tulsa team reminded me of? Laughayette! A one trick pony running offense with a decent defense. The sad thing is, I think that the top 2 teams in the conference (Coastal and App) could beat both of those teams tonight.

**** this conference if its willing to throw a team under the bus to ensure the success of another member. If this were "app state" at stake for a NY6 bowl, but they ****** over GaSo to do so, you'd be done with the conference too, and you and everyone else knows it.

Does everyone realize how small time COVID Carolina made the SBC look today? They caused the SBC to be the ONLY Conference not to play a Championship game and miss out on immeasurable publicity! OHIO STATE played today and were missing 25 players!!!!! I’m not buying CCU’s piss poor story! Today’s SBC Championship game was not any ordinary, regular season game. If was supposed to be the biggest game in SBC history. COVID Carolina apparently wants to play FBS football with an NAIA mentality!

So...do you want FCS, independent, or CUSA?

At the end of the day, if GS had one loss to App and somehow how had to play them again in the CCG, and they had Covid issues, sure I’d think that they backed out also, but I’d also know that with that loss in this G5 conference (with other perfect teams still out there), the committee has already marked us as outsiders. That’s what happened to UL and unfortunately win or lose against Coastal, it was already a done deal. It was a 3 way race between Cincy, Coastal, and Tulsa. It wasn’t known at the time, but that loss early in the year unfortunately sealed your fate. You were bowling just like us in our contractual bowls from that point forward. I do think y’all are a good team this year, but Coastal is obviously the story of the conference this year.
