I saw that, but I wonder if a) Bishop was open enough to make the pass or b) there was enough time on the clock for Battle to catch the ball and put it back up.
Watching the replay, I didn't get the feel at all that he even considered throwing the lob at the hoop and I'm 100% sure that that was the play design. Somebody else might have better luck, but I was trying to find a Jamion post game presser and see if the question was posed.

Interesting video cut up of the 1st two games showing a staple of this offense - using motion to create penetration gaps for our guards.

I agree that was the play call coming out of the timeout. The execution was slow. Several times down the stretch in regulation and in OT, I wondered where was GW's sense of urgency.

Well, that second half was a lot of fun. Some good young talent.

I really enjoyed the reinvention of Luke Loewe as an aggressor on the offensive end. He has taken a back seat the last 3 years and functioned as a complimentary player. It is now his team and the rest of the squad seems to feed off his fire.

Great clips there. It's such a simple offense but Luke and Yuri's abilities to finish at the rim make it highly effective.

When I watched it, I thought there was enough time for him to finish the cut and look back to see the shot go up. It was a huge missed pass for Bishop, and IMO likely was the actual play that was called.

It will be interesting to see if we'll find shooters if defenses start collapsing. Watching those clips, you can see where the off-ball movement is trying to get players into spots around the corner and foul-line extended.

I'd imagine that is the next phase. if Loewe/Yuri are consistently getting to the rim, opponents will have to game plan to sag in to stop penetration. This should open up either the Wight/Harvey dump off or the perimeter kick out.

Sneaky big question for this season is how well Blair can shoot the three. If he's a legit threat from behind the arc (think somewhere around 35%), that limits how much opponents can clog the lane to stop Loewe/Covington getting to the hole.

He seemed to be a very good shooter at the high school level. He has been inconsistent in a limited sample size in college. I think he is very capable of hitting enough open shots for guys to respect him. I think he does more damage with his sneaky drives to the hoop where he often gets to the foul line.
