RE: ULM Updates
The Former regional banker hasn’t made a hire and there’s no information. So basically it’s your typical ULM hire.

Not releasing much info around these parts. Last decent article. However speculative. Obviously pre Ark St hire.

Not a great career decision IMO...what do I know?

But good for his eventual retirement income, if true. Similar move that Viator made.

They should have kept V. Rebowe isn’t going to bring FBS transfers every year.

I think if y'all would spell it correctly (Rebowe), it might clear up some confusion.

RE: ULM Updates
ULM needs to have an honest talk among all its stakeholders and come to a consensus about its future in FBS football. What resources do they have? What are they aiming at? How do they define success? If they bring in some nobody as HC and pay him a salary at the lower end of the SBC scales, it’s just setting the stage for more failure.

RE: ULM Updates
How does Rebowe improve ULM's position with pretty similar coaching results as Viator? Were things that bad within the program to justify a buyout and rehire during tough financial times?

RE: ULM Updates
If they could find a coach willing to take on this task and prove his offensive genius, one that doesn’t need the money, could actually donate his salary back into the program. That would be awesome. Wonder if there is one of those available???

Not that I ever think a coach would do any of that.

With Rebowe, you are correct. Is he improving ULMs position or his? If it's truly Rebowe bettering his retirement position, ULM needs to pass. Rebowe has been successful and is a stand up person. But why hasn't he been picked for another head coach position or even mentioned for one prior.

ULM is kind of screwed here. If Rebowe is hired and provides similar results as Viator, then the hole just gets deeper. IF ULM finds the proverbial nut and turns the program around, it's screwed again because that coach will be picked for a better paying job in a New York minute.

The Cajuns were in a similar position until the administration ponied up bucks to fund a winning program. Is ULMs administration ready to do the same?

Go for the nut that screws it all together, include a buy out if he leaves early, that way you get a couple years of winning and a couple hundred grand in the bank when he leaves. Good luck on finding that guy though. At this point it may be a Hail Mary type guy that you look for. Some young guru that would be willing to come for $150-$200k.

Joey Jones is available, knows the SBC landscape, will win games he shouldn’t and lose games he shouldn’t. Your guys will play with shirts untucked and commit the worse timed personal foul to lose you a game. But he is available, and he has built 2 programs from the ground up, something your program may need.

ULM’s excellent beat writer Adam Hunsucker says a former SEC head coach has put out feelers. I’m thinking it’s Terry Bowden.
