RE: Week 2: 11/30 - 12/6
Dixie hung on for the win over UND. Led by 10 with about 2 minutes left. ND cut it down to 3, then back to 7 with ~30 seconds. A few missed free throws and a last second 3 by UND did get it to a point.

It was a fairly sloppy early season style game. Dixie had 10 first half turn overs and shot 1/10 for the game for 3’s. I don’t believe North Dakota will be a very good team this season, but good for Dixie to win their first ever game as a D1 program.

Tarleton 52 TAMU 54 with 6 minutes left. Wow...

Let me fix that for you

TAMU-CC

You aren't playing the SEC TAMU

Are you high?

No! Just misread it. Thought he was talking about UTRGV who was playing TAMU-CC. i look forward to NMSU kicking your asses later this season.

A little advice for the Tarleton fans. "Coach" only comes on this board to tell everyone how good NMSU is and how much every else stinks. If I were you, I'd just ignore him. We all do. He adds nothing to this board.

Damn good showing by Tarleton and Dixie. Even thought Tarleton didn’t win. Keep earning that respect for y’all and the WAC. And for **** sakes Frank shorten your screen name. Jesus Christ your name is longer than most my posts.

Thanks for the advice. To your previous point, it was a good showing for us. Would've loved an upset win but I really don't have any major complaints either. Good luck against Arizona.

Congrats to Dixie.

Congrats to Dixie and good job Tarleton. Nice win UTRGV.

I hope that Chicago St can keep it close against EIU. Good luck Seattle against UCLA, there are few teams that I really do not like in college basketball, UCLS is one of them.

EIU is a 25.5 point favorite over Chicago St. Both teams are 0-3. Wow!

Prairie View had to cancel due to Covid issues. GCU wasn’t able to find a replacement game for tomorrow. Wish they could’ve had at least one game between the MVSU massacre on 12/1 and hosting Nevada on 12/11.

NMSU might be in a similar situation with Cal Poly and the soon to happen California lockdown. We need a game or two of D-1 to prep us for Arizona.

I was hoping maybe CSUB would be willing to make an impromptu swing through Phoenix ahead of their trip to UA next week for matchups against their recently former conference mates GCU & NMSU, but no such luck. The Runners have a game scheduled Monday against Bethesda, but I was holding onto the baseless and irrational hope** that maybe a buyout could be arranged with the Lopes and Aggies offering a 2-for-1.

**Yes, I do realize and can admit when my ideas have no connection to facts or reality. Please take note, realignment hawks!

Cal Bap looked a lot better tonight in the rematch and got their first win. Several CBU players put up some pretty big numbers.

RE: Week 2: 11/30 - 12/6
I watched most of the second half of RGV v OLLU. OLLU is a good team to play because over the past decade or so, they have regularly been towards the top of NAIA basketball.

They definitely have the ability to present a challenge and from the sound of things they did just that in the first half. RGV looked ok in the 15 minutes I watched except for a couple of points -- they had lots of fouls and multiple players with 4 fouls with around 8 minutes still to go. They also had over 20 turnovers, which could be a problem down the road. The other concern is getting offensive fouls on about 5 out of 6 possessions.at one point. It didn't really hurt them because they had a nice cushion, but adjusting to how the game is being called is something that should have warranted a time out, no matter how big the lead was.

It looked scary for the first 10 minutes, they got up 17-7. We weren't that bad but they were real good, incredibly high energy and grabby. I think they came on too strong and got a bit tired in the second half.
