No matter how much they made us sweat that last minute, wins are nice.

Nice to get the dub on a night they shot well from behind the arc. Oliver, Reece, and Hunter obv stepped up to support Curry.

At least we dont have to read how W&M are better than us this year.

Nah it’s a game thread in case you were unaware.

And no I wasnt wrong, we “LOOKED” like we were about to choke up the game.

Glad we won but we’ve seen that weak ass finish so many times. Go to bed if you can’t handle the criticism after the games.

Glad to get the win. Curry with his usual great play. Oliver surprised me with 19 points. Nice work from him. Reece is starting to become one of my faves on the squad as well. And a very nice game from Hunter too. Kalu is my favorite player, but he didnt have a great night. Thankfully we didnt need him to. I don't know whats happened to X, but hopefully it doesn't last long. The worst part of the game (once we got past the early shooting woes) was surprisingly the defense. Our experienced squad shouldn't be letting this WM team get to the hoop so easily. This game was a step in the right direction, but we will need to improve to beat NSU (especially at their place) and have a good season.

I didnt notice Reece in the Maryland game... was he in the doghouse?

They’ve had our number lately so the win means a lot to me.

Someone please tell me where X game went? He had that really good late season surge 2 years ago and hasn't done squat since.

Remember W&M is very, very young and not very big. Glad for the win, but didn't see much to make me think we'll win many against upper tier teams in CUSA

Agree with all of this. I will add that after not seeing the Maryland game, I was expecting to see a more mature Kalu. But the stupid fouls and the bad passes really frustrate me. He definitely has a good upside but I guess I expected more progression. Hopefully just a bad game.

Also, someone else mentioned, maybe in the Maryland thread, that Green might get a kickstart coming off the bench. I really like this idea. At a minimum I would like to see more of Hunter.

Much better 3 point defense in the second half. I guess at the expense of allowing some drives to the rim but I’ll take it.

It wasn’t the dominant victory I was pining for - but it was the sloppy victory I was expecting. There are positives to build on. Next game.

Yeah doesn’t leave you with the warm and fuzzies moving forward. Kalu is becoming more and more confident and its showing. Really like him offense around the rim Just needs to stay out of foul trouble which isn’t new.

On the other hand, please please don’t be a boo bird. MonarchManiac would very much appreciate it if all the “boo birds” weren’t present.

I am pretty happy with the way everyone is playing except Green and Strother. The others are playing the way I expected and perhaps a little better. It would be nice to have Long in the mix.

No, early foul trouble in the first half....hopefully they can reign that in (on many players) so rotations can flow accordingly.

Glad to get the win but our defense was horrible. We'd better get that fixed fast because this team won't win very many games giving up 80.
