Liberty's not laughable either. They finished 30-4 and won the Atlantic Sun Tournament which meant they would have qualified for the NCAA Tournament had there been one. They also made the 2019 NCAA Tournament and won a game. The team they beat? Mississippi State!

So the last win over a top 5 team was before USF shut the program down?

I came of age watching college hoops in the late 70s and early 80s, and at that time the USF Dons were an elite program, with both 1950s Bill Russell pedigree and recent accomplishments as well. They were mainstays who routinely went deep in the NCAA tournament.

Then they became SMU before SMU, with the Quintin Dailey rape conviction and the boosters and the self-imposed Death Penalty that lasted three full seasons.

They have 20 or more wins each of the last four seasons, but haven't been able to crack the top echelon of the WCC and get an NCAA tournament bid. Looks like they are getting closer.

Does this game even count as an upset? Whose idea was it to rank a Pathetic 12 team in the Top 25?

Now UCLA needs THREE OT's to beat PEPPERDINE. And people thought this team was a top 25 team? Is Lonzo Ball still there?

You heard it first here: UCLA doesn't even make the 2021 NCAA Tournament (and not because there won't be one).

Didn’t realize San Francisco lost by 8 to UMass Lowell Wednesday. Wow, if the Dons didn’t lay that egg, they’d be on the bubble this season.

They also have a problem that they are most likely at best the 4th best team in the WCC, it will be next to impossible for them to get 4 bids, and their chances of stealing the automatic bid are basically 0% (even if somehow they were able to beat Gonzaga in the tournament they'd still have to beat either BYU or St. Mary's).

Queens University (NC) 85
Howard 71
Queens fell a point shy of George Mason (edited for math)

FIU 82
Flagler 75
Flagler had the lead in this one for most of the second half until about 3:30 left.

This is one of those building block wins. Maybe MSU is decent, maybe not, but beating major conference teams has to a step in your development. You don’t necessarily get lots of cracks at them.

Is Carver even a real school? Who loses 105-23 to Appalachian State?

I went to Appalachian State's website and clicked on the link for "Carver" and it gave an error! "Server Error in '/' Application. The resource cannot be found."

I think it's a NCCAA school if a quick Google search is right

http://www.carver.edu/contents/Athletics.html

Some of its original schedule had 4 D1 basketball schools on it. They only play men's and women's basketball. I don't know how NCCAA schools stack up compared to D2, D3 or NAIA though. At this point why not allow Community Colleges or junior colleges play D1.

Georgia Southern smashed Carver two years ago by 88. Nicholls State smashed them by 74 last year. They both show up on Carver’s schedule again this year.

If there was ever a program that might want to hope for a Covid cancellation...

No that would be Penn State football.
