If App had not already played Marshall that would have been the ideal game for MB Bowl

We have a lot of transplants in South Carolina and a ton in the Myrtle Beach area. Heck I'm going to be at Myrtle the week after Christmas. I think it would be a good bowl for Marshall, especially as crazy as this year has been. If we can't play a P5 school then I'm all for the Myrtle Matchup.

While I agree App St makes a ton of sense for Myrtle Beach, I can’t see it being Marshall. Think they’d want a rematch for the bowl? Also, not sure when the CUSA CG is? The MB bowl is so early, it’s prohibitive to the Sun Belt CG participants, maybe the CUSA teams too?

They will have to move the MB Bowl back a week for either CUSA or SB Champion or Runner up.

not the New Orleans Bowl??

The New Orleans Bowl is on December 23 this year so the CCG participants would only have 4 days to prepare. If CCU goes undefeated they may have a bigger game calling. The bowl tie-ins may not matter too much this year.

New Orleans Bowl no longer has first pick. ESPN does, and could choose any of their three bowls to send #1 to.
