Meh. She deflects to 2016. “But, but, Trump wasn’t given a peaceful transition, so why should he give one to Biden.” To be sure there were sore losers then as there are now, BUT... Hillary conceded the next day and Obama invited him to the White House the following. Those two Democrats leaders (despite the attacks they endured from Trump) indicated to their constituents that the American people had elected a new head of state.
Fast forward to 2020 and Trump has done neither of these things. He is indicating to his constituents that there is fraud and, even if there wasn’t, that he will not give Biden any help in transitioning into his new role leading the American people.
I am all for investigating possible fraud allegations, but the calls to #resist, to have legislatures overturn their states’ votes, to “prepare for a smooth transition to a second term”, etc. indicate to me that this campaign is grasping at straws. I am not inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt when they allege voter fraud. We’ll see “in two weeks” but I’m not holding my breath.
Bottom line: Trump and his administration waited too long. They knew this was coming 4 years ago, and did nothing about it. They let the Deep State have its way through the duration of the Mueller investigation sham. They deserve what they got. I just hope we don't get what we deserve.
