This Black Friday, consumers urged to shop at Black-owned businesses
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/black-frida...=104944827
Civic leaders in Chicago are urging people to shop at Black-owned businesses on Black Friday, part of a broader campaign to boost communities of color.
The city partnered with the Chicago Urban League and local advertising agency O'Keefe Reinhard & Paul to create "Black Shop Friday," an effort to reframe the annual shopping extravaganza to focus on racial equality. The campaign features a website that lists more than 500 Black-owned businesses people can patronize on Black Friday, which is on November 27.

RE: This Black Friday, consumers urged to shop at Black-owned businesses
Nah, I'm going to support the businesses that have what I want at the price I want regardless of their skin tone. To push black owned businesses because the owner black is racist, but that goes over most of these peoples' heads. I won't deny a black owned business my patronage, but I'm not going out of my way to avoid a store owned by any other race, either, just to score a few virtue signaling points.

Why do liberals think blacks can’t make it on their own?

Pretty sure this was a rhetorical question, but it's because they are racists.

RE: This Black Friday, consumers urged to shop at Black-owned businesses
I honestly don't have a problem with the CUL promoting this.
If a store has what I need, I don't care who owns the shop, I'll buy what I need/want.
If a store has something that I might want... whoever gives me the better deal (or has that merchandise in stock), then that's where I'm going.
but if you're asking me to patronize a shop just because it's run by an African-American, you have to give me a better reason than that. (Example: someone who got looted and robbed by Antifa, but still stayed in business for the community.. they might get a little bonus from me in terms of shopping if they have something I want.).
Heck, Milano's caters specifically to black men for clothing.. but hey I wear the same type of slacks and shirts as African American males.. and I save a FORTUNE there... so guess where my money goes when I need slacks and shirts?

I won't be supporting any businesses this entire holiday season.
My spouse was laid off from work this past with the explanation given as Covid downturn.
Merry Christmas Bah Humbug.

RE: This Black Friday, consumers urged to shop at Black-owned businesses
This black Friday, go to a local church and pray for the souls of all the Black Women the Democratic Party murdered this Day (~2,000 Black Women Murdered) Week (~14,000 Black Women Murdered) Month (~60,000) and year (~712,000) among others, give or take a few. Then Ask yourself this: Who REALLY cares MORE about Black people: The ones who tell you it's okay to kill Black People while they are at their most defenseless and then go shopping merrily, or the ones who ask you to consider THESE Women's Choice to LIVE, since they cannot speak for themselves. Their little black corpses speak volumes though, at least before they are cut up, packaged and sold for money by the butchers who kill them.

RE: This Black Friday, consumers urged to shop at Black-owned businesses
Not sure about other cities but here in Louisville there is a movement to not spend money at a store or restaurant that has a Black Lives Matter sign posted. I know a lot of businesses in Downtown are struggling because of it.
Personally I hope every business in Louisville that has bent over for BLM closes. I don’t care what color the owners are. Get woke, go broke needs to apply to any business willing to support a socialist, hate group.

WHY just BLACK and not Latino or Asian? This should be most insulting to BLACKS, makes them seem like a charity case.
