disagree, no one has repalced "duke" quality yet... but removing the duke loss, since then you just lost name brand not quality.. honestly strictly rpi/net when its all said and done not mouch a difference will be noted post season

northern iowa (top 60 team), utah state (top 60 team), and saint marys (top 40 team).. is as good as utah, a&m, and ohio state

west virgina, creighton and memphis were seen as the top teams after duke left..all 3 are still there

Disagree. It's becoming very high risk, little reward. UNI (who always chokes every year and becomes a non-tourney team), Utah State (who lost their all-world player), and St Mary's (who lost their top 3 scorers and best returning scorer is only 6 ppg) are not good replacements for Utah, A&M and Ohio State ... not even in the same ballpark.

You are aware a&m and Utah were projected bottom half in both their leagues and not projected to be good.. Ohio State is actually a decent team if they played in a weaker league would probably be a low seed tournament team.. but most are projecting the big 10 will cannibalise itself and Ohio State might be a victim of that

Utah State, St Mary and north Iowa are all seen as minimum NIT teams.
Utah state literally only lost merrill but returns most of everything else including Nemias queta a projected 2nd round draft pick who decided to come back.. and tho Merrill gets the credit, most advanced metric say they won because of queta. There is an insane difference with him on the court and off the court...
Northern Iowa has AJ green who is seen as a top 10 guard in all of college basketball (Katz ranked him the #2 SG in the country)
And St Mary always losses player and still always ends up minimum an NIT team, their coach is 14 years straight off top 75 teams. Every year they find some unknown international player and become good, it's what they do

You are being blinded by brand and not quality of opponent.. and who cares if they flame out of the tournament. 1) only one of the 3 teams that left even had a chance at the tourney 2) these 3 arent the headliners of the tournament and are great 1st round games likely all top 60 teams

West Virginia and Creighton aren't turds. And according to KenPom, everybody in the field, including No Iowa, and all but one other team, is ranked ahead of WSU.

Kenpom Rankings

West Virginia 8
Creighton 14
Memphis 39
Utah St 69
Saint Mary’s 74
No Iowa 76
Wichita 97
S Dakota 98

Kenpom himself will say his data isn't accurate right now.

Penny was with Wiseman in Nashville when he was selected #2. Wiseman highly complimentary of Penny.

Precious will be drafted a little later in the first round.

So what do you want to use? A yardstick? Lol. He's likely in the ballpark.

Point is, the term turd is relative. 03-lmfao

Precious to Miami at #20, little lower than he probably should've gone but he's going to a top 5 organization, so good for him. Now we got to wait two-ish hours to see if Hinton sneaks in in the late 2nd round.

Agree. He'll average about $2.25M a year for the next 3 years, guaranteed, get to live in Miami, and play for a really good team, where their needs fit his skill set well.

What's not to love? Memphis and the AAC got good pub tonight.

Overall, weak NBA class this year. Precious not a lottery player.

Calipari being applauded for having the #21 and #25 picks in the first round. We had #2 and #20, both before them, lol.

Not true. Very high floor in this draft. No Zion but overall a solid group. They had a great high school group. RJ Hampton was one of the top kids coming out of high school and got picked 24th. They just didn't have a bunch of overhyped Kentucky, Kansas, and Duke kids this year.

If Miggy's calling it a weak class then look out. There's probably a dozen future HOF's in the class lol

Just to add on to this. First time there hasn't been at least one lottery pick between UCLA, Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, and UNC since 1991.

Well he didn't. Wish I could say I'm shocked but that would hardly be true. Another Armoni situation smh. Hate it for Nate, but he should've stayed. I hope our young guys are taking note.

What even is the point of this comment? Kid just got a nearly guaranteed $7M to go play with the runner-up to the NBA Championship.... and your response is to point out he went #20 instead of #14.

Good lord
