Appy 7 Marshall 17 FINAL
But then again this game would have been on Fox Regional.
I will enjoy watching Coastal beat you down. Well not really I don't really pay attention to other games, except maybe for noise. Hope you enjoyed you 1 week in the polls at #23.

Charlotte needs to get its crap together. I suspect one problem is their ‘up and coming’ coach doesn’t want a resume showing he beat a team one year and lost to that team a year later by 20 plus points.

It was interesting the language they used on their official tweet about the game. They said the game was postponing “out of caution concerning Covid-19”. That doesn’t sound like they have an existing issue, sounds more like we don’t want to risk having an issue.

So for all of us who have already purchased rice tickets do we get a refund? Or a credit towards the championship game or next years tickets? Or will the school say tough luck?
So Marshall doesn't play now until the Rice game on December 5th? That should be enough time to properly prepare for the Owls.
I would also talk to Rice ahead of time because I think there is a distinct possibility one or both of their next two games don't happen (because of outbreaks at UNT and UTEP), and it might make sense for Rice and Marshall to play prior to Dec. 5th if that ends up being the case. Rice could then play UTSA on Dec. 5th.
Isn’t the ACC being proactive and rearranging schedules to allow teams that are healthy to play? I think C-USA should adopt this approach or just decide to pack it up in 2020.

As a Charlotte fan that closely follows our program very little detail has been released over the last three weeks on what is going on. I wish our athletic department would provide more transparency.

I'm pretty sure that might run afoul of players' rights to privacy. Not really sure what they can or can't tell us.

We all know you'll tune in to watch another nationally televised App game.
I imagine CCU will beat App this weekend, they have played much better than us this year. Will enjoy the narrative that Marshall is a contender end? Hopefully we can prevent that.
Three years in a row ranked feels good for a program that would never be able to sign a home and home with the mighty Marshall according to you.

UTEP and UTSA were both missing players this past week. UTEP's coach was quoted after the game that Miners were missing 2 of 4 top corners (also had 1 more ejected early in the game and played a walkon the rest of the game) and he felt that teams should feel an obligation to play if at all possible. UTEP has had all 4 home conference games canceled on them. They have not canceled on anyone.

Look, guys, this is the reality. There's not much incentive to play games when you make peanuts for a TV contract in a year with limited attendance. This is the reason why so many CUSA games are getting postponed and canceled.
If there's little financial incentive to play, heightened risk, and getting your doors blown off, certainly Charlotte is going to bow out.
And I completely understand the Charlotte posters on this board, and the fans of both fan bases have no say in this, unfortunately this is the reality. Charlotte didn't want to come to Huntington because they knew it was going to be bad for them.
Marshall has played with injured, covid down and contract traced players on the side, why is it that so many other schools are having such a difficult time?
The Charlotte fans on this board are never going to hear the end of this. Y'all can just stay home with ODU, you're not going bowling anyway this year. All facts.

The first thing Mike Hamrick needs to do this morning is get on the phone with BYU, do anything you possibly can to get that game scheduled for next week.
RE: ****W12-POSTPONED: Charlotte @ #15 Marshall, 12:30ET, Sat., Stadium****
One more thing, when you have CUSA administration sitting on their hands, with no ability or desire to plan, and hold schools accountable for postponing and canceling, no forfeits, this is what you get.
Can we just leave this conference already? This is way past time. We need to play with schools that actually care about sports.

Notice that the “real men” schools figure out a way to not cancel? Marshall, USM, WKU, Middle, UAB, UTEP, UTSA. Am I missing anyone?
UAB and UTSA have cancelled games this month. UTEP has had games cancelled on them - but I'm not sure if they were the ones who couldn't play or if they were like Rice this month and had teams had to cancel the game on them.
This whole macho man attitude seems stupid as hell, and also beware because Covid has a way to get the last laugh on you.
USM has cancelled one as well (UTEP). It's been rescheduled though.

I understand Marshall fans getting whiny about Charlotte cancelling due to Covid. You are ranked #15 and were counting on a win this weekend to boost you another spot or two, or at least keep you where you are. I was hoping my team would get it together and beat you, as we do every other year or so, but this was probably your year. I get it. Other than on Saturday I am happy to see you (and anyone in C-USA) succeed and get ranked. However, if you believe that Charlotte is afraid to play Marshall, or even afraid to lose a game, then you have lost your collective minds.

I know you are trying to make this about you and how great you are, but the reality is this virus is exploding in urban areas, and this conference is full of urban teams. Several rural teams had to cancel games when it went through their towns.
