RE: Game Thread: Georgia State @ Appalachian State
Oh no Petersen is a good portion of the problem. An anecdotal call for one game is cute, but the game plan yesterday was horrible. GA St has one of the worst pass defenses in the conference and we attempt to run to set up the pass.

He’s never been a good OC and was a questionable hire.

Marshall wants App to be good so bad, but in reality you guys beat maybe the 3rd best SBC team.

Fair enough, you would know better than I would. App being third best team in the belt remains to be seen.

Based on what? From the research I've done his 1 year as Marshall's OC produced a 12-1 year, MAC championship and a win over Louisville in the GMAC Bowl. At Minnesota h
offense was never a problem, but Mason's defense gave up points by the bushels.

Wonder if Peterson’s hands are tied, I’m sure he has been told, day one, that no matter what we are going to run the ball between the tackles 15-20 a game, doesn’t matter what the defense is showing, if they put 9 in the box, @@ck it, we still our going to run right into the strength of the defense...so frustrating.

Defending scoring 17 against a team allowing 38 points a game is troubling.

It is want it is, you can pretty much guarantee that for 20 plus plays CCU will bring 9, maybe 10 and we will run right into it for a 2 or 3 yd loss, hopefully we will somehow find a way to win

The fact that App didnt just throw it 60 times is the SBC Fail of the Year.

Believe me, we know. Why we are being so hard-headed, I don't know. The prevailing thought is injuries to our OL, but that doesn't really make sense to run inside zone 2x per set of downs.

App hasn't opened the playbook yet. Hasn't been needed this year for the required conference championship/bowl win.

I fear the new 2 page playbook we have has been flipped through forwards and backwards... this guy is clueless

you don't think it was needed when we scored 7 in the 1st half of Marshall or 3 in the first half of Ga State

No. Marshall, because of the late add and sympathy year. GSU, because we knew we could win.

While we're at it, ULM hasn't opened the playbook either. We're saving all of our tricks for when ULL comes to town so we can lose on a kick again.

How spoiled are we when we complain about our coaches in a win with a 6-1 start ...
