I just wanted to stop by and say thank you for being a classy program. Yesterday, there were 4 ECU players from the 1970 team who came to our fountain ceremony and were introduced at halftime to a standing ovation. I have no idea who those guys were, but I can tell you that it meant more to our community than you will ever know.

Washington Post had a long story on the Marshall commemoration, and mentioned the four ECU players: RB Rusty Scales, DT Richard Peeler, OT Grover Truslow, and DT Chuck Zadnik

Marshall and ECU will always share a bond. I wish our schools would create a gift or trophy for the home team to give the visiting team as a way to commemorate our friendship and to wish the visiting team a safe return home.

Thanks for the kind words. Looking forward to my first ever trip up to Huntington for the ECU @ Marshall game next season.
