The squad isn't relevant to Bearcat fans getting to continue ripping on a disastrous former Bearcat football coach without fear of it being considered political.
Neither is Tubs knowledge about what you posted. Lots of media declared Gore the winner until the Florida recount was finished. Did Tubs flub an question about the 3 branches of government? BTW why do you think WW2 was fought?

That's just objectively wrong.

Note: I was a fan of the Tubs hire. Still like him more than Butch TBH . Obviously it didn't end well at all lol. Who cares what he's doing now. He'll vote party line as already mentioned and most who voted for him I'm sure knew he wasn't going to be doing anything of significant importance besides have a vote in the senate.

My applauding the Tubs hire was my all time worst take on anything.

Lots of us were right there with you, though some would probably deny it now. It was a bold stroke in the college football world for a program that had always hired up and comers and was losing the lofty BCS 6 platform as the Big East disintegrated.

Truly, the two best days for Bearcat football were the day he arrived and the day he left.

I recall being pretty happy with the hire. I was a bit concerned by the story of him leaving the recruits at the restaurant to take the job though. Was hoping it was a misunderstanding or hearsay at the time, but in hindsight, it was a sign of things to come.

NBC had been first to declare a winner in Florida on Tuesday, saying Al Gore won at 7:50 p.m EST. Its rivals quickly followed suit, basing their information largely on polling data provided by Voter News Service, a consortium created by The Associated Press, ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox and NBC.

Congrats to Tubbs
I think we all loved the Tuberville hire. He was successful at Auburn and hadn't been at Tech long enough to realize he was already in coast mode. In retrospect even if Whit had interviewed him he would have said the right things and we would have hired him.

Looking back I think his interest here was simply to reset the clock on people realizing he was in retirement mode. Never visiting great producing high schools within 20 minutes is emblematic of how much he had given up. People like to cite some of the talent that helped us the last couple years but never forget we won 4 games in Ficks first year and just as easily could have won only 1. You couldn't have done less work in 4 years aside from not showing up at the games.

As long as he's the Republican nominee I'll hope he wins general elections but I certainly hope someone who actually gives a crap primary challenges him in 6 years.

Again, your statement is objectively false. They said Gore won Florida for two hours, retracted it and then said Bush had taken Florida and then eventually retracted it again. No one declared Gore the winner until the recount was complete (which is the statement you made above). It just didn't happen. And in fact there were far more news outlets that declared Bush the winner over Gore. https://www.baltimoresun.com/news/bs-xpm...story.html

All that aside, to draw an equivalency between the two elections is a fool's errand. 2000 came down to a margin of 700 votes. This current election has a margin in the thousands to tens of thousands in each state Trump would need to flip. I'm all for recounts. I'm all for legal challenges. Have at it. It won't change a thing.

OK.

He’s right.

It would take a reversal of epic proportions to reverse the results, the likes of which we have never seen.

Members of both parties have stated that no fraud has taken place.

Yep, seen obvious examples from both sides in this one.

A Pennsylvania judge found so much organized fraud in a state senate election that he nullified the results and declared the "loser" to be the "winner". I am sure appeals will be coming next.

Speaking of PA, this year a Judge and former Congressman from Philly were both convicted of election fraud charges.

WW2 was fought to free the slaves. Everybody knows that.

If someone wants to cheer for Tubbs in the Senate because he has their chosen letter next to his name, great. Don't, however, pretend that the guy isn't stupid, incompetent and in way over his head.....just like he was here.

I disagree. He proved early in his career he was intelligent as far as football coaching.

I believe at UC he was just indifferent. And probably deserves to be shot for what he did to our program.

That's definitely a better description. He didn't forget how to do it, he no longer cared enough to put any effort.
