I find it befitting Tarleton's first FBS opponent will be NMSU. I remember somebody sharing an audio clip of AD Mario predicting this game would get scheduled. He also went on to say NMSU would like to stay in the WAC if an FBS conference could be forged, and that Tarleton has openly expressed its FBS intentions. If Tarleton beats NMSU at home, or even if its a close game, we know that we now have two FBS-caliber teams in the WAC. Question then becomes, who are the other six? I'm afraid Dixie St. is in for a rude awakening when they tangle with Tarleton twice this Spring.

I believe the reference is six more for FBS, for which the minimum is 8, while the minimum for FCS is 6.

I would not be surprised to see another FCS team on the schedule. With no UNM and UTEP. There are very few games that people will care about. I bet they get somewhere around 4-6 games.

The Aggies could have a great record this year! I thought that FBS could not play DII. Did that get changed for this year?

Good thing the Aggies were 1 of only 2 teams to skip out on the fall football season. Playing Dixie, Tarleton, and NM Highlands will sure get the football fans excited.
