He got bad advice in High School and in college before he was suspended but I am not sure the advice not to play was bad advice when he is predicted to be a top 3 pick.
Depends on your expectations. If you think you can play your way into a clear #1 pick, that's worth about $4M more (or 25% more) than going #3. That ain't nothing. And that's the contract alone, let alone endorsements that are much more readily available for the #1 pick.
But if your expectation is to go below #1 to begin with, then okay. Sit it out.

Edwards is predicted by many to go #1 and that is not based on his college performace...He didn't have a great year efficiency wise.

Maybe but most understand the talent around Edward's was brutal which hurt his efficiency.

Agreed...
But it still boils down to the fact that he is being evaluated on his potential and not his performance.
Only guy I can think of that shot up the draft boards based on performance is Toppin

Edwards scored 19+ per game as an 18-yr old. Led all freshmen in scoring - not even close. He proved he could play and was rewarded by it. He claimed the #1 projection with a big performance in a Thanksgiving tourney last year (Maui?).
For sure, his potential is the biggest driver. But he legitimized it with a year of competitive ball. Could Wiseman have locked down #1 by absolutely dominating the game all year? Possibly. But yeah, #3 is a good spot. He minimized his risk and still got a good payout.

I Hope he goes to Golden state so he only has to be a great rookie and he can get a ring.

Golden State ain't going to be nowhere near close enough to even sniff at a ring this next season.

I agree. Not many 7 footers that can run the floor like him.

Seems logical if this was the first practice or they have only been doing individual workouts prior to today.
If they have been having full practices before today not sure how the whole team is not out for a positive COVID test.

RE: James Wiseman
The season starts in exactly two weeks. He will get tested in 10 days and the earliest he can come back to the team is two days after that. If he has any symptoms, he can only come back 12 days after he has no symptoms.
