It's just as well. You can't tailgate and getting liquored up before the game is a challenge. Might as well go to the game and have the rest of your weekend to do other stuff.

I hate the early kickoffs, but since we're not going to the games, its not as bad. Crack open a beer at kickoff. The weather has been nice enough to watch the outside tv on the patio. Able to watch multiple games (nice to do when you have a ve$ted intere$t), reach into the cooler for a beer instead of going to the concession stand. I do miss the tailgating, though.

11 am in November/December is fine

11 am in September/October is not

I understand we signed a contract and gave up our scheduling rights, but we deserve at least one September/October night game each year. We win all our home games, we went to the Cotton Bowl, we've been AAC champs twice, we actually draw a bigger crowd than almost any nonP5 and many P5 schools.

Only one night home game in one season is a joke.

Houston is our last chance, but by that time of the year a day game is welcome.

Looking forward to this game since it will be a family affair. My youngest daughter graduated for SFA and we have been to Nacogdoches many times. Team is made up of quite a few 3 star players, JC transfers and transfers from other bigger Texas area schools like Baylor, UT and Texas Tech. Common opponent this year is SMU who they lost to in Dallas 50-7. They lost their first thee games then went on to win the next five against some small schools. So, they are 5-3 now. Here are the SMU stats. https://sfajacks.com/sports/football/sta...score/9001

WGAS, hell, most of you aren't going anyway.

The vibe is really weird at the games. Semi-piped in crowd noise an no one near you. It feels like the Blue-Gray game.

If anything, the early game is nice so we can just get in and out and have the rest of the day.

On our first TD, the idiot PA guy called the touchdown a first down.

He sucks and he's never getting better.

It's a game against a D1-AA opponent. Not that surprising.

Maybe I have been tuning him out to the best of my ability but he seemed particularly annoying this last weekend.

Yeah, the way our D plays on 3rd down...that "THIRD DOWN!" bit is more like a threat or warning to fans.
