These are all matchups with clear favorites. It would be a nice game for the good version of my Panthers to show up.

We don't have a history of stepping up in Boone, so you may just be in luck. I never pick against my Panthers, but I think the average version of App this year is probably two or three touchdowns better than the average version of this GSU team. It's just a matter of how the teams show up to play, if our young QB can stay settled, if our D has an especially bad day, etc. Boone has not traditionally been a place where the little things go our way.

We don't have a good version of Fuqua 's defense

We let the worst team in FBS have 442 total yards and 34 points. Scorched by a backup QB. I have no confidence we win again this year.

UMass I think has played two games. ULM has played eight. The data is clear.

Fair point, but if you’ve watched a single UMass game over the last 5 years, then I think you’d be hard pressed to make a case that any team is worse than them.

I agree with most of this but I think Coastal wins by 20 and App. wins by a slightly larger margin. Lastly, Louisiana will win by less than 10 points...it’s who we are in 2020. We just play to the level of our competition.

I appreciate your trying to make me feel better but facts are our defense is horrible, our DC is still employed and we extended our HC for three years despite a losing record and we can only get rid of him if someone comes to get him.

Nothing is going to make me feel better.

I don’t think anyone is playing great right now, CCU, APP and Louisiana are getting the wins but none are playing at a particularly high level, keep an eye on GS, their offense is struggling but the Eagle’s defense is probably the best in conference and will keep them in every game.

I agree. GS has a solid defense and I’m happy we beat them when we did. I wouldn’t want to face them again. Louisiana has looked much better on defense than offense this year but GS has a leg up in my opinion. I’d feel confident in saying Louisiana has a top 3 SBC defense right now.

I think this is going to be "feel better about yourself" week for App, Coastal, the Cajuns, and maybe GS. I think App did well to go on consecutive long trips and win by 3 TDs. Coastal was probably ripe for a letdown and got a solid win over a team that loses a lot of conference games but doesn't get blown out much. The Cajuns just won over their division rival.

Thats a valid point regarding the Cajuns and stAte. That really is a rivalry where you can throw out the records as anything is possible. This USA game does scare me but I think we win by a TD.

SoAl game will be tough one. Likely single digit game and one we could lose if we don't have a better start offensively.

To be fair, that backup QB should probably be the starter.

Maybe, APP needs a game where we see consistently with the offense for the entire game, and there is a good chance we see that playing probably the worst defense in the conference, Cajuns, not sure, their offense isn’t very good (compared to last yr) and Troy’s defense is good enough to keep this close. CCU and GS should be fine and work out any problems.
