Liked a lot what I saw from Collins. Freshman WR Mason also looked intriguing. I don't know where Collins ranks in CUSA, but he's giving us the most competent QB play we've had in a long time.

ESPN giving Trammel some love.

Nice of the football Twitter account to post the clip - I hadn't seen the third touchdown where he basically ripped the ball away from a defender trying to strip him and turned it into a touchdown.

There's no chance this game can't be picked up by a linear TV channel?

I don't see it happening. We have a 2:30 kickoff.

Games certain to be on air instead of us:

1:00 BC @ Syracuse
1:30 UMass @ 16 Marshall
2:30 Kansas @ 19 OU
2:30 Texas Tech @ TCU
2:30 8 Florida @ 5 Georgia
2:30 Houston @ 6 Cincinnati
2:30 Minnesota @ Illinois
2:30 Maryland @ Penn State
2:30 Purdue @ 10 Wisconsin
3:00 10 Ok. State @ KSU
3:00 Arizona @ Utah

I'm not going to go through the exercise of assigning all these to the various channels, but there's definitely not a 12th channel to work down to even consider us. There's a handful of other games in this rough time period that I didn't list that would probably be picked up before us, too. We had a chance to sneak into national TV early in the season that we opted out of. At this point, with all the conferences playing, that ship has sailed. I think the only teams still not playing are UConn and NMSU. I'm just happy we're on ESPN 3 so I don't have to pay an additional subscription for ESPN+.

Pretty sure Southern Miss is considering dropping football at this point. I mean really, you have to really try to be that terrible.

I know you’re being tongue-in-cheek (and it does feel good for us to be in a position to do that) but they’re on their third coach thus far this season. Nonetheless, USM beat North Texas by 10 in Denton. And they lost to La Tech by only a point, 31-30.
