what will be done at Nippert by Lindner?

New turf?

Restore the notches?

Put seats back?

I think the notches are staying. UC's choice.

Turf could get replaced.

I wouldn't expect much other than the field itself looking better than it has the past couple years.

The seats were all obstructed views. Not sure it is worth it. UC wants the notches for safety reasons.

Notches staying, only way those were guaranteed to come back were if If FC Cincinnati left the facility for any reason at the end of their lease, the club would be responsible for returning Nippert’s seating bowl to its original configuration which didn't happen. Nippert will get new Football only permanent turf this off season

Those seats were not obstructed view. My season tickets were in the notch. They were fun seats for the price

The notched seats were not obstructed view but the 2-3 rows of sideline seats they took out definitely were. If I remember correctly, those were only generally sold to visiting fans. In a perfect world with an infinite budget, we'd drop the field 3-4 feet and put those seats back but we can't because of both cost and what's under the field.

Yea my seats were also in the notch. I had to move to the other end of the section. No big deal though.

Perhaps they can built two suites in the notches. Then Doss could have the best of both worlds.

This has been talked about before and you may know but they can't drop the field. There are pipes and cables under the field from the power plant for the university. Until those are no longer needed that is not an option. At least that is what I remember when it has been brought up before.

Yea that's what I was saying - a perfect world they could drop the field but there's some vital stuff below it right now.

...I don't like ultimate frisbee. I also would have zero beef if Cincinnati had an ultimate frisbee team that brought 30,000 fans and used Nippert 18 Saturdays a year.

I'm kind of glad they are gone too. They were destructive.

Agreed. They totally destroyed local business attempts to have as few customers as possible, and the university's attempt to make sure that no one in Cincinnati knew about our beautiful campus.

I never understood why the Federal Communications Commission needed to use Nippert stadium in the place.

I thought the sideline seats in the notch went to local grade schools. Just look at who Mardy ran into.

I sat in them before and they were great seats. It's not like the first 5 rows behind the team's bench. Those are obstructed by the players. There's no players in front of the notches; just an occasional cheerleader.
