Little Rock Legends
One thing that I really think helps a program is when the average fan has at least some sense of the history of the team. Now that we have begun using Little Rock instead of UALR, we could do a nice series of halftime or between-game spots on the overhead board, and call it Little Rock Legends to make use of the alliteration, and give a brief profile of some of the great players in the program history, maybe even going back into some of the really old-timers whose names are still in the record book.

Just an idea.

I like that. I see a few old players from time to time at the games but maybe we could honor one per halftime and bring them back and have a highlight video like you suggested and get former Trojans more involved with the program.

RE: Little Rock Legends
When you say get more involved what do you mean exactly?
There are several former athletes (baseball, basketball, tennis) involved with the program in a big way financially.

I just mean being at the games and being acknowledged as former players and that kind of thing. I may be 30 years behind the times but I remember back in the 80s when some of the Razorback games I went to acknowledged former players that were at the game that day. I remember thinking that was cool as a teenager. I am glad to hear there are former players helping financially. I sat by Mark Green at a game this past season and several fans came by to say hello to him but if you were not close people would not have known he was there

And folks who don't remember him would not know why he was there, but if there was a little video spot about him, and the announcer had him stand and acknowledge the applause, it might help to give a little sense of LR history. If you say "Big Jake" around us oldtimers, we know who you mean, but the kids probably would not.

RE: Little Rock Legends
I agree former players at the game should be recognized. But, if a former basketball player comes to a game, and nobody on staff knows he is there, not much can done.
