https://www.woodtv.com/news/elections/mi...extension/

"DETROIT (AP) — Absentee ballots must arrive by Nov. 3 to be counted, the Michigan Court of Appeals said Friday, blocking a 14-day extension that had been ordered by a lower court and embraced by key Democratic officials.

The appeals court, in a 3-0 opinion, said any changes must rest with the Legislature, not the judiciary.

Absentee ballot extensions ordered by judges in Wisconsin and Indiana have also been overturned by higher courts.

Michigan law says absentee ballots must be turned in by election night to be valid. But Court of Claims Judge Cynthia Stephens had ordered that any ballots postmarked by Nov. 2 could be counted if they arrived within two weeks after the Nov. 3 election.

Stephens said there was “unrefuted evidence” about mail delivery problems because of the coronavirus pandemic, noting that more than 6,400 ballots arrived too late to be counted in the August primary.

Attorney General Dana Nessel and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, both Democrats, declined to appeal Stephens’ decision, leaving it to the Republican-controlled Legislature to intervene."

Thats a huge win for the President. He could win the ballgame by simply holding MI, FL, NC, AZ and the other red states

Thats huge, because if Trump has a 10point lead amongst indis like most polls have consistently shown, then that equates to a 4 point early lead in MI.

Now we're starting to see why Schumer is dumping cash like crazy into the state. The dems could easily lose a senate seat in MI.

This is also interesting because more Republicans are expected to vote in person than Democrats. If more Republicans are voting absentee than Democrats this is a good sign for our President.

the graphic says it includes mail-in and early in person voting.
if the Rs usually wait to election day to vote it could be a good sign...
or just mean that they are voting more by mail because of covid.
I'm not sure if past elections can be used as a measure for this one since Covid is having a huge impact.

RE: Michigan for Trump?
I'm confused. On Twitter they're saying it's photoshopped & that it's actually the # of ballots requested by party
They're also convinced many of those GOP votes are for Biden, although another story from Twitter Land says it's wrong completely b/c there's no registration by party in MI

And the issue for the dems is that I havent seen Biden coming close to a 69-27 lead in any state thats yet reporting.

This link might help explain Kayleigh’s tweet. You can use the dashboard for TargetSmart to look at various breakdowns of election information.

Yep, Kayleigh does indeed seem to be wrong.

Looks like in most swing states the Democrats are winning, but they don't seem to be running away w/ it unless all the Unaffiliated are voting Blue.

GOP's doing well in WI & OH, doing poor in PA & IA

I’m not sure she’s wrong. Her tweet mentions that “Party Registration is modeled by TargetSmart from multiple commercial sources”.

I’m not sure we can see that info from the Dashboard.

The campaign probably subscribes to a paid feature from targetsmart which is doing this for them. THe number of votes both on the dashboard and on her page are about the same, so it cant be requests vs votes. Its votes on both.
