I’ve always felt sick to my stomach that nothing would come of this. However this is something the common man can understand. This is not FISA and dossiers. This is pure greed.

For all the, "Russia, Russia, Russia," talk, the reality is that we are in Cold War II, and this time China is our adversary. I am far, far more troubled by what appear to be very real connections between Biden and China than I am by allegations regarding Trump and Russia that have failed to prove up.

The other thing that I think needs to be understood is what Ross Perot said in 1992 that I had been thinking for some time--in the post-Cold-War era, economic power will be more important than military power. While we are still trying and failing to impose our will on the Mideast militarily, China is badly outflanking us economically. China cannot go mano a mano with us militarily, except maybe within the South China Sea (SCS), but they are carving up a pretty big chunk of the world with economic power--their belt and road and other programs are winning over third world countries by building needed infrastructure.

We need to figure out how to GTFO from the Mideast ASAP. Without us their to protect China's oil supply, they get stretched out quite a bit. And we need to put that money and effort into bribing up an alliance in the SCS to contain Chinese expansion (the way Truman did to the Soviets in Europe) and starting to win back some of these countries where China has made serious inroads.

I may be wrong but this time feels different. This story is growing very organically despite DPRK levels of censorship by MSM and big tech

China has some very serious economic weak spots, and very possibly can't survive without us. But we need to put pressure on those weak points, and so far we are not doing so. We could do the same with China, but we have to do it, not debate it on a message board.

You hit on the crux of the matter. The difference between then and now is we were not engaged in any economic activity within the Soviet Union. All citizens had a vested interest in watching the Iron Curtain fall. Now, there are so many Americans reliant on Chinese cash that it will be hard to fight with a united front.
