Looks like the shiny "spaceship" look is out, modified concrete bunker is in. I think going to white is a bad decision unless they have allowed for constant pressure washing in the operating budget.

Disappointing. Still looks like a bomb shelter with patio windows added. Light colors are going to look bad when they get really dirty and don't get the proper cleaning. Even the light brown/tan bldgs look bad right now because they haven't been pressure washed since they were probably built.

I wish they'd release more interior renderings. Hopefully a new scoreboard/video board is part of the plan.

This leaves much to be desired.

I don't know if I liked the last design either, but I at least gave it credit for being a bold choice. You don't see a lot of 1950's style space themes anymore.

This just looks a bit half-assed.

There's only so much you can do with the BJCC without tearing it down. It's going to look like a bunker. Or as I say, paint it green and it looks like a pipe you go down into in Super Mario Bros.

Perhaps. But they just tore down a significant portion of the structure to its bones. They could have expanded the use of glass throughout the exterior... unimaginative maybe but definitely an improvement.

What I'm not hearing is the seating capacity change from original to renovated. Some have guessed an increased number, but some have said seating capacity was sacrificed for "skybox" additions. What is the real number?

For the money they had to work with it’s a huge improvement.

In all seriousness, what does it matter? The capacity is obviously enough to host ncaa games, so that’s all it’s really needed for. If it’s 14,000 or 16,000 or 18,000 does this impact your life in some way?

First, it doesn't matter if the seating capacity increased or not. The issue with Legacy was that it was outdated; not the seating capacity. There are current venues hosting 1st and 2nd round games with a smaller seating capacity than Legacy Arena.

Second, it's not a prettier box. Just and updated box.

I hope the pics BlazerJay posted isn't doing the design justice.
