The WKU fans used to be quite chippy, where have they all gone?

Obviously they all moved to West Virginia and became Marshall fans.

There's a difference between being chippy and being confident. Marshall fans are just confident, considering how well we played this year, do you blame us? This team is just playing on another level right now. It's pretty awesome to see.

Marshall fans are not out there trying to start fights, we are just very confident in this team.

I'm glad we get to finally play La Tech. Long time man.

We're excited about finally hosting Marshall too. We're just jealous of you guys right now. Some schools --apparently Marshall included-- seem to be moving along very smoothly right now, despite COVID.

Meanwhile, it seems like LA Tech's hair is on fire every week. We've had so many lineup changes this year, I still don't know who's playing many of the positions. We literally have 3rd stringers starting games for us every week, no exaggeration. It's crazy! It seems as if we face a different drama or setback with this team each week. For example, our starting right tackle, Willie Allen (6-6, 343), a sure fire 2021 NFL draft choice, informed us last week that he was opting out of the 2020 season.

https://www.thenewsstar.com/story/sports...578345001/

So enjoy your smooth ride while you can. Tech fans have no idea who will be starting at QB, RB, and especially in our OL on Saturday. But we look forward to welcoming you guys to Ruston anyway. 03-thumbsup

I'm the reason for their stability guys. There's a balance in the force.

I'm a New York Giants fan as well, and well you see what kind of dumpster fire that team is right now.

So look out world, Marshall is staring at an undefeated season 01-donnankungfu

I mean, in reality. One bad game from our freshman quarterback is all it will take. However, he's been so poised, even against App State he didn't look all that great, everything else about the team maintained consistency.

Everything else about Marshall has been so consistent.

I am with you. Marshall seems to be riding high too. It isn’t far fetched we could meet in a C-USA CG.

Agreed. This is why we'll need to schedule that open date November 7th game, because both of our programs are on that perilous line. If we have any more postponements, both of our programs would be deemed ineligible. Wouldn't that be something?

That's why we'll need to get together and schedule a game on November 7th.

Marshall has La Tech this week, another big measuring stick.

I do not want to play UAB in November and give them a blueprint, in case we were to meet them again in the conference championship. If the conference cannot work out a scheduled for Rice to make up their lost conference games, then they need to go down as forfeits. This is not a slight on Rice, but a clear reflection on the piss poor communication and management of the CUSA commissioner’s office, which has been crickets since the beginning of the season, other than to announce the occasional postponement, all without benefit of what the consequences of a postponement are if a solution for a makeup cannot be worked out.

Marshall fans need to chill. Some of you seem to be forgetting that Doc is still our coach. We will lose at least one game we aren't supposed to.

I think Marshall folks are forgetting who your coach is. You’ve generally had more talent than anyone, but Doc can make them look bad real fast. I’ve watched it happen for five years and I’ve sure you’ve seen it much longer than that.

I think Charlotte and FAU could handle the bottom 6 of the west and give UAB a good game.

I think Marshall is better than that.

The west bites.

I hear you Tintin. And I understand...believe me. But there is just something in the air about this team...so far... time will tell. One game at a time. LaTech this week. Tall order.. then FAU at home.. the Middle and you guys. This is no gimme by a long stretch.

But there is just something different about this team this year from my 40 years plus of watching Marshall football.

If there is something good happening, it’s likely not Doc.

Yeah WKU fans weren't used to being winners so they didn't handle it like they'd been there before.

MU usually craps the bed once or twice a season. Not taking the bait that La Tech is bad. They are solid and will give us fits. I'll take a one point win and gladly move on.
