That is until a few Big 10 (and others) parents complain. Then all of a sudden a new quick test, etc makes everything wonderful. It’s amazing how the MAC, Big 10, PAC 12 and Mtn West all read from the same playbook when they announced they would play. I can see arguments to play and not to play but what I can’t see is not sticking to your original decision. The fact that football is a go but volleyball, field hockey, etc are not says a lot to me.

Yes - and saying what you didn't want to say, TV money is a big factor.

But anyway, if the social distancing rules say we can't have more than 2,000 fans in a 23,000 seat stadium...maybe we can give out free tickets so we can get up to 2,000 for that December game.

TV money played into both decisions. They decided to give it up the first time. Maybe they just decided they overreacted and needed an excuse to change their mind. Whatever the reason it isn’t a great look.

No schedule that I could find, but Lewis had a press conference Thursday. Link is on KSU website.

6 games plus a conference championship. Is there bowl eligibility with this schedule? I could see 1, maybe 2 teams winning 6.

Per NCAA, every team is Bowl Eligible this year.

I guess we will need to make the bowl selections want us then.

RE: Football in February?
The conference won't allow attendance at games or tailgating. The conference? Does Steinbrecher attend games? Does he really think this is good idea Starting a scrimmage season in November in Northern Midwest and he thinks we shouldn't allow people.
The MAC looked ridiculous with announcing the start of the season in January, backpedaled to start the season in November, came out with this crappy schedule, and now won't allow the few dozen fans that might show up actually come. Our AD makes too much? None of these morons deserve more than an adjunct professor.

Might be part of their plan to save face. They know MACtion entails midweek games in crap weather with no fans in the stands, at least now they can act like they kept 1000s out for safety reasons when in reality it would only be in the 100s. Imagine having a birthday party and nobody showing up, better to act like nobody was invited and it was an exclusive event.

RE: Football in February?
That'd be fine if they didn't act like they were taking the higher ground and "not play football until January.
Then 4 weeks of CSB football goes on and we back pedal. These ADs are all chumps. How will they aspire to make it to a big conference some day if they act like such chumps?

RE: Football in February?
Midweek games looked like a good ratings get with no NBA or NHL to compete with. Now with more NFL games slipping to Tuesday, may lose eyeballs.
